These are my first attempts at image hosting, and the frames are not exact, but you'll get the idea, and that's what's important:

Wow, that's like night and day. They need to burn the old copies of that disc.

Just saw one in the 3 for $10 bin at the Game Stop in Rivergate by Circuit city. Hope that helps!

Nice that your new boss finally got his own store. You two were quite the team at Suncoast...back inthe day.

Glad you're back in Nashville.

I found this odd, but did anybody notice that there are 2 different colored keepcases for the grinch? My best buy mostly had white, but then there was one red one.

The outer slipcover is red and the inner keepcase is white. Maybe you just saw some without the outer slipcover?

yah, I have all but swore off retail, as I've been finding success in other avenues, but its a little extra holiday cash, and I'm among old friends. See you around, and I'll dive through the bin for that disc if its still around next week.

Maybe it's like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and you found the special DVD that wins you a trip to Whoville, where you get to have roast beast with the Grinch!

All the keepcases I've seen here in Tulsa, OK are red (including the one I bought), not white.

Barnes & Noble near me had an ample supply of both the red and the white keepcases.

I love the corrected colors, but judging from those screen shots, it looks like the new version has lost detail -- they seem kind of blurry. Or is that just a mistake in trying to capture the image? Regardless, thanks for posting those -- I will no go out and buy it.

My local Target had mainly white cases, but a one or two red.

I picked red and will look for my wonka coupon.

i think your eyes must be playing tricks on you because there is no ghosting (see the snow trees) the outlines of the charachters seem to be clean instead of fading into the background, and all the dirt looks to be gone

You may be right--for instance, the eyes of the Whos in the 2nd shot seem better defined in the old transfer, but the older transfer is so offensive in every other area that the loss of a little fine detail is an easy sacrifice for me to make...

I was gonna mention that the new version looks softer... but it's SO much better than the old one... I mean, the Grinch wasn't even GREEN for god's sake.

What places did you see these copies at? Good to know that you're from Tulsa as well.

Target and Best Buy (both on 71st) are the two places where I specifically looked at the packaging.

They made a deluxe edition, and dropped a commentary?
