JEEZ! I'm a grown man getting choked up over an animated series!!

Just finished Justice League Season 2 and found myself getting choked up at the end of Starcrossed. Any animated TV series that can do that is a damn good one. There's no way any movie can do these characters the justice this series has done these characters. Season 1 was very good. Season 2 was incredible. It's time for Justice League Unlimited sets to be released.

Fantastic DVD set. Decent extras. Although I'd prefer more comprehensive extras, but I realize it's unlikely on a DVD like this. Probably more money than the studio wanted to spend.

I challenge anyone to watch the South Park episode where Butters gets his heart broken by the girl at Raisins and not shed a tear.

Several episodes of "Futurama" have that effect on me. Especially "Jurassic Bark."

Can I suggest you watch Grave of the Fireflies next? And follow that with the series Now and Then, Here and There.

It's hard to be an anime fan without this happening more than a few times.

The saddest episode of Futurama has to be "Luck of the Fryrish". I always get a tear when I see that one.

This is without a doubt one of the greatest animated shows ever released. It ranks up there with some of the 80s classics, and it just gets better. I look forward to each series being released on DVD and cannot wait to get my hands on the stes they release for the Unlimited series.

I've never even watched Futurama regularly, but I know I caught this episode once on Cartoon Network and I was a wreck.

Try watching The Iron Giant without choking up at the end. I know I can't.

The Pokémon episode "Gotta Catch Ya Later" (the one just before the Houenn League series began) is quite sad. *Sniff*

I can't even watch that episode anymore. The last time I watched it I ended up a sobbing mess.

I was going to say that I usually don't get emotional about American animation, but I compltely forgot about The Iron Giant. And of course, there was Beauty and the Beast...

No argument here. Bruce Timm and his crew are pretty much the Gods of bringing the comic book world to life. They just seem to get everything right. Just started disk 4 of the current set and looking forward to this tearjerker of an ending.

I was going to say that one too. I saw it in the theater, and when it got to the end, I was glad I was sitting in back, because I more than choked up. It's difficult for me to watch on DVD, though I bought both versions on DVD and have watched it a few times at home, but it doesn't get any easier with passing viewings. Awesome stuff.

I know. I haven't watched that episode a second time even when I see it come on. I change the channel cause it gets to me.

that`s why it`s hard for me to get excited about the movie Batman Begins or Frank Miller Batman comics, the Batman Animated series and in the Justice League Animated series blows anything I seen about Batman in comics or movies away.

From Lilo & Stitch...

Stitch: This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.
