Texas Chainsaw Massacre Pioneer Special Edition

Is this hard to find? I think it's OOP.

The reason I ask is because I essentially received it free from that barterbee site. I didn't get the case but the person sent the DVD and inserts.

Anyways, what's the status on this specific DVD?

IIRC, there's a new special edition coming out soon that sounds pretty packed.

Yeah, it might fetch a decent amount on eBay, but I don't think anyone's gonna really want it if you don't have the case (I'm assuming you didn't get the paper that comes in the case; not the insert)

The Pioneer DVD was released with three different covers. The contents of the discs are the same, only the covers are different. The first one features the classic poster art, but the other two are horrible. All three editions are indeed OOP.

<----Released October 6, 1998

<----Released October 14, 2003

<----Also released October 14, 2003. This was an alternate "limited" cover.

I've got the 1998 disc, but I'm gladly going to get rid of it come September 26th when I get the 2-Disc Ultimate Edition from Dark Sky Films, which I've already got pre-ordered.

<----September 26, 2006

Yeah, I got that first one.

I don't have the original case but the person did send the insert and cover art for the sleeve.

I slipped it in an extra case I had lying around.

Among the three featured.. the one which is hardest to find is the "Limited Edition" meat packaging

I got the original Pioneer SE of this film, for Easter, a couple of years ago. It ended up being about $40 CAD, and it was already out-of-print when I got it. It is out-of-print, but the meat packaging is also really hard to find.

I also have the original Pioneer release. I'll double dip on this one, and I'll keep the original disc. I doubt the new edition will have that amazing generator/chainsaw soundtrack during the menu selection.
