My movie on Netflix
 

I was wondering if it would be okay to post that my independent comedy film is available on Netflix. I won't post the info. unless it is all right w/ the forum mods. Thanks.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't be allowed to tell us about it. I, for one, would love to hear about it. Imagine if ALL directors participated in forum threads!

Right now it is only available for rent. It isn't available for retail sale as of yet.

mrhan, so what did you do with the movie? Write, direct, produce?

Doesn't look like it's available at Blockbuster.com. Tried searching "It Burns When I Laugh," and got a bunch of Profiler and Gilligan's Island discs as a result. Searched "Burns Laugh," and got a bunch of CSI discs as a result.

Since it was a low budget feature I had to fill a few jobs. Even though we had a full crew and I produced the film; I was also the 1st Assistant director, script supervisor and storyboard artist. One has to do a lot on a shoe string budget.

How did you pull that off? How did they decide to take it? Without giving away details that are sensitive, were you able to make your money back off the sale to Netflix. Or you do you get a percentage of the rental?
