Know anyone who doesn't keep their DVDs in cases?

my younger brother is bad about just laying the DVDs on top of the DVD player

maybe I'm being anal but I don't like the thought of dust getting on the discs

I've got friends that keep 500+ DVD collections in CD folders. It's mindboggling.

I keep mine in CD folders and have the cases stored in a fex boxes. No DVD I have is unreplacable and I ever doubt I am going to sell them.

Precisely why I do not loan CDs or DVDs to ANYONE. Family included. No if's, and's, or but's! Although, everyone offers me CDs and DVDs to borrow, exactly because they know how well they'll be cared for...

I don't. I have around 2,000 DVDs all stored in spindles. I moved across the country at the beginning of the year and will only be here another year or so. I had limited space, but wanted my collection with me. So I took all the discs out of their cases and put them in spindles.

So far I've had no problems. I wouldn't choose to do this, but it was really the only way I could get my collection to travel with me.

I leave my dvd's on top of my dvd player all the time, it gets pretty crowded up there some times. They never get scratched or damaged so I don't care.

Tell him to locate a spindle that holds DVD-r or CD-r. Nothing wrong with it if you got a small spindle.

I don't know anyone personally who does this...but this is one of the many reasons why I choose not to lend out

all my spindles have copied CD-R's on them already though... I'm running out of space and I don't even keep the DVD cases - unless they're special or something or an import.

Hey Zombie! Would you babysit my King Kong DVDs? Don't watch them or anything, I just want you to take care of them for a couple of days. Thanks

zombiezilla 06-20-06 06:11 AM

LOL, sure, but there's a fee...

That's being trifling! It only take a second to put the DVD(s) back into their case(s).

You don't lend out DVDs because you don't know anybody who leaves them out on the DVD player?
