This is for the guys who got stuck with the 10ers.
Heard that the dvd made a record $80 million. Pretty good.

So far, it looks like most, if not all, of the canadian dvds were 10ers. It's not limited to a regional part of the U.S. either.

NONE of that is on the bonus disc. Instead the bonus disc features a featurette running about 1hr and 8min looking at the history of the X-Men comics.
Now I'm sure this is great of fans of the comic book but I bought the 2 pack at Wal-Mart for the behind-the-scenes material for the movie not a look at the comics. Again, the DVD is obviously false advertising. I would've opted for the cheaper single disc if I had known what the bonus disc really contained. I don't know what happened with FOX, if they mispressed the disc with the wrong content or changed their minds about the content and never corrected the packaging but I'm kinda pissed off about it.

Apparently the studio is aware of the problem and a customer service hotline has been established. You will be required to give them your phone number and home address. You will also be asked to describe the nature of your problem (obviously only for those who have purchased DVDs from Wal-Mart). I have personally called and can verify this. At this time they are taking down records as a decision has not been reached regarding compensating customers.
NOTE: If you haven't saved your receipt from your purchase however, don't even bother calling.
The contact information is as follows:

Wow these store bonus disk keep getting screwed up. X-men, Prison break, Beavis & Butthead, etc. How many screw up do companies plan to put up with before they decide exclusives suck.

Target tin with 10. I'm not that broken up about it though, having already gone through the 10 deleted scenes they're nothing special, so I doubt the additional 11 would be.

Don't know if we'll ever find out if this is true or not cause I'm sure no one here buys Full Screen. Right?
NOTE:
If you bought wide screen from Walmart then that one is bogus
buy the FULL SCREEN and that has behind the scenes

Got mine from CC and all 21 deleted scenes were there.

Still on the fence with this one.
That Target tin would look nice with my X1/X2 digipack, but if there happens to be a 2-Disc Director's Cut for this, I'd buy that one in no time.
I just saw some clips online of the extended house fight and I NEED a version of that movie with those scenes added!

I just opened and played my copy of x-men collectors (which is the Canadian Futureshop steel-case version) and the movie was non-anamorphic (even though the disc says widescreen ???)
Has anyone experienced this ?

I think someone asked this earlier in the thread... I just checked my R3 edition and it has a total of 25 deleted scenes.
The package for the R3 is really nice! it is a three panel digipak with a clear plastic slipcase. I was surprised when I got it from CDwow, because on opening the package, I saw the same artwork as the R1, and not the art featureed on the Wow's site.
It turned out that the back panel was a paper insert with the usual back cover info. Remove it and you see the CDwow artwork, so basically the R3 has two covers. On both sides, Wolverine and the X3 logo are actually also printed on the clear slipcover, so he has a 3-D appearance. The digipak is also printed with metallic ink and has a very nice silver look.
This set was cheap, had great packaging, and that's not even mentioning the bonus of the second disc! Yet another example of Fox's R3 sets being superior to the initial R1, with none of this holding back the 2nd disc crap - X3, Fantastic Four, Day After Tomorrow, I Robot, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - the list keeps getting longer...

Hey,
Sorry, I just confirmed that the disc is anamorphic widescreen. Here's what happened:
- I was playing the disc on my friend's PS2 and I didn't know that it was locked to 4:3 output only ... Hence the image was stretched.
- When I got back to my home, the disc displayed correctly on my player
Sorry for the false alarm. On another note ... my copy only had 10 deleted scenes. Is this standard for all discs with this steel-case ?
Thanks
