Great collections though .. and gear!!!
It would help if people wouldn't quote pics unless there was something in the pic that is needed for their post to make sense.

This is the first time I've posted my setup.

Setup in the basement.

This is the pool table behind the seating area.

Everything is controlled with this. It makes things so easy.

It will hold 18 single width DVD's per shelf, so thats 504. Double width and box sets will obviously bring that number down.

Had to put another shelf upstairs to make room for the rest off the collection.

I've got closeups of these if anyone wants to see them.

Byron, nice setup...but why does your Die Hard Trilogy look like someone ran over it with a truck?

Mr Mellish -

I really like how organized your library looks. That is a very clean and attractive display.

I got it from an online retailer for a really good price and that's what it looked like when I got it. Not the condition I would have liked but I didn't want to deal with returning it.

Byron_T ... not a big fan of entertainment centers, but I do say, a very slick and rich look to your set up!! Very nice.

Question .. I like the choice in paint for the walls. But does that particular color give off much reflection when watching films at night? I currently have a .. what I would call .. a forest green textured paint surface and it works perfectly - in that it doesn't reflect and the main focus stays on the viewing screen. Do you get the same effect with the reddish paint? Thanks in advance.

My setup is in a basement with no windows so when I watch a movie the only light is from the screen. I have never noticed any reflection from the walls at all. The red is actually a little darker than it looks in these pictures.

Byron,

Great set up!!

Where did you get the entertainment center? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?

Reason I ask is because we're in the planning stages of finishing the basement and that looks perfect.

I got the entertainment center and the leather couch from a local funiture store. They were both special orders and I don't remember what brand the entertainment center is but I'll do some checking and see if I can find the info on it. I built this back in 2003 so it's been down there for a while. It was around $800 if I remember correctly.

Thanks for all the compliments on my setup. It took me about 6 months to get everything done since I was doing most everything myself. It's amazing how nice a setup you can get for a reasonable price if you're willing to do the work yourself.

Well, it's no where near what a lot of you guys have done. I have to share the family room, so this is the best I can currently do in this house. It's definately not the ideal set up, but it's better than nothing.

Infocus IN72 projector
Elite Screens 100" 16:9 pullup
Oppo 971 DVD Player (DVI connection to projector)
Kenwood 405 HTiB 600 watts
