Nice setup, SWG. I have limited space too, so I know how ya feel..
|
Looks like you've done great with the limited space you have SWG!! AND....your representin' with the Cowboys helmet!!!
|
This is an in-progress home theatre. Thinking of putting maybe a shelf set-up behind the TV like many of you guys have.
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7273/img0308os6.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/9513/img0314ae8.jpg I have black leather curtains that actually do a good job of blocking out the sun from the window. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2133/img0315sr8.jpg Here's what it's like when no lights are on and the curtains are drawn. The movie showing is "The Thing" HD-DVD. http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/7993/img0321by8.jpg So I'm thinking of adding shelves, more posters and memorabilia. I've got a sign displaying the DTS logo coming from eBay. Someone else on here had that and I was inspired! LD, DVD and HD-DVD collection: http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/9049/img0293lq2.jpg http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/5574/img0296ag5.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/3887/img0301md4.jpg http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/5639/img0303xa7.jpg http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/7913/img0307gc7.jpg http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/9973/img0312vg2.jpg |
SWG, you have a nice set-up there. Nice!
|
Thanks guys. The room is pretty small, and this was really the only way I could effectively set it up (with the exception of having a mounted pull down screen and ceiling mounting the projector, which we didn't want (and I won't get into all the details why.)
There is some set-up involved in watching a movie - put the dvd in, move the screen over, set the screen up, some minor adjusting of the image depending on the aspect ratio (if it was different than the last movie watched), but all that takes only a couple of minutes. I do that while the wife is making the popcorn and getting the drinks. Like she says, it beats what I had before (32" sd-tv). |

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/tvsetup2.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/tvsetup3.jpg yeah, I know... I'm loser still with a standard TV... I just haven't decided on what flatscreen to get... |
TallGuyMe, even without the DVDs, I love that room! So nice...the DVDs are just icing on the cake..
It looks like your doggy wanted to get in the picture, too! |
Thanks Sabrett... here are a few more... the reason why there is no money for a flatscreen right now, is because we just went through a renovation of going from THIS:
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...enobefore1.jpg to this: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...renofin4-1.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/renofin3.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/renofin7.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/renofin6.jpg |
I think it was money well spent. Very nice
|
Very very nice! I'd give up a flatscreen for that room
|
Excuse my language TallMeGuy but fuck that is one nice room, im with Sabrett i would, well i dont have a flatscreen either but i would rather not have one over that nice room.
the before looked like shit but wow great Job!-you should be on a decorating show or something. plus that tv looks nice in that room i would keep it and just keep building on your DVD collection. it shows that any place can look great as long as you put some time and effort into it. my place is decent but not as nice as that! when i pick up a new digital camara ill post pics. |
|
^ Gee thats hilarious, really original. Never seen anything like this posted in the other 9 threads.
|
I have no excuse for not having a flatscreen, this TV was free, and I'm poor. Once I graduate, I'm buying my dream system though. Something to work for...

I love looking at everyone's setup. I figured I'd take some pics of mine (I'm by no means a decent photographer).
