just exchange it, no reason why you shouldn't get what you ordered.
i picked this up this week, but may return it to the store shortly; $22 (after taxes) for a title that may come down in price in a few months seems pricey. guess i'm spoiled.

Forgive me if this is explained anywhere in this thread (I didn't see it):
Do we know if the steelbook case is limited (and they'll be switching to a keepcase or something after the initial pressing)?

Not seen it mentioned, but I imagine they will stop producing the fancy packaging and replace with a standard case. I remember the Evil Dead: Book of the Dead edition was eventually replaced with a keep case. Evil Dead II's book edition hasn't been replaced yet. also, I think LionsGate eventually replaced the Saw: Uncut bloody pack with a keep case.

Just finished watching this, and am bugged by a couple of audio worries on the mono track, namely...
I've seen this film more times that I could possibly remember, and these sound effects seemed jarring by their absence. Am I just imagining that they were there to begin with, or do I possibly have defective equipment?

Did anyone else have trouble getting the discs out? I thought I was gonna make a pizza outta 'em!
As far as A/V .... this is one of the best 16mm restoration efforts I've ever seen ...

Watched this tonight, and now I'm happy. I waited for a transfer like this, forever! I remember when Pioneer re-released it, oh the disappointment
This time, the picture wasn't a huge mess with the contrast, it was just right!

Saw this last night and wow was I impressed! My friend claimed it was over-saturated... but I think it was perfect. Defenetely a definitive version of a movie that I have always loved. Top 10 horror film ever!

The special features disc has the strangest layer change I've ever seen. It abruptly occurs 25 minutes into the Shocking Truth documentary. The laser moves all the way back to the middle of the disc and continues playing. I think its obvious it was amateur hour when this disc was mastered.

At what exact time/scene during the documetary does this occur? I didn't notice any big layer change when I first watched it, and when I re-checked it a couple of minutes before and after the 25 minute mark, I didn't find any pause in the playback.
