Halloween: 25 Years of Terror

Anchor Bay Entertainment will release Halloween: 25 Years of Terror, the most comprehensive and official documentary on the "Halloween" films ever produced, on July 25th. Narrated by P. J. Soles, the documentary chronicles the longevity of the films over the past quarter century and features over 80 interviews with actors and crew members from the entire franchise, as well as fans and critics. Also featured are never-before-seen behind-the-scenes clips, rare photos, alternate footage, original artwork, music and footage from the fan-organized Halloween Returns To Haddonfield 25th Anniversary Convention. Retail will be $19.99.

Can't wait to pick this up along with Halloween 4 and 5 on the same date. Halloween is easily my favorite horror franchise, so this documentary will be great to have.

Sounds like a nice documentary - I'll probably pick this up. I have to say, though, I am a bit surprised that Anchor Bay didn't put this on another re-release of the original Halloween.

Will give this a rent. Especially for the information on the sequels. Those productions aren't as heavily documentary as the first one and frankly I think I know everything about the original Halloween.

I'll give it a rent too. Seems like the ultimate bonus disc though.

Considering I was at that 25th anniversary convention and have been waiting nearly 3 years for this, July 25th can't get here soon enough for me.

Does anyone know for sure if this is a NEW documentary? I mean in the SE Halloween releases along the way they had some documentaries on them, is this one a brand new one?

This will be really cool and good, but is it worth seeing more than once and owning?

IMO I would have no problem watching this documentary multiple times. I can watch the entire Halloween series at least once year, they are all good in their own way, some better than others..

Yahooooo! It's in my DDD wishlist, as is H5 SE. Just watched my SE of H4 in the tin case I got from the last 20% off sale. It's a neat collector's item. And cheap.

Can't wait until 7/25!

Not sure if you're aware of this but the SE version of Halloween 4 that's coming out the same day is not the same as the one in the tin you got. the new dvd for H4 will also include a commentary with the two leads

And a different (presumably, better) transfer. It's one of those "Divimax" discs that Anchor Bay puts out from time to time.

You mind telling me how that's done? I don't see it listed anywhere on that site.

Incase you haven't found it, when at the homepage, look at the top left for "Signings/Events". Click THAT link and it's at the bottom of the first page.

edit: Don't click "DVD Signings", click "Signings/Events".

Oh, I found it, with thanks to you; I'm looking forward to it (though the shipping cost is a ball-buster). Do you know the particulars of who will be signing it? And is it safe to presume, being autographed and all, that it won't be factory-sealed when I receive it?

There are two discs there, right (one covered up by the booklet on the left)?
