Awesome, After watching "Oath Of Death" today (pretty average SB title...) and wanting to see more Lo Lieh, I was just looking for a DVD Mad Monkey Kung Fu today at Hong Kong sites and sad that it was out of print...

Dragon Dynasty got a nice one there. I wish someone would also rerelease Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star and Golden Swallow though... been looking for DVDs of those out of print ones for ages.

I once looked over Lo Lieh's filmography on IMDB and counted 77 films of his that I'd seen. I wondered if that was the actor with the highest number of films I'd seen and I thought, no, that can't be. So I tried to think of American character actors who were in hundreds of films. The obvious candidate would be John Carradine. So I checked his filmography and I get 79, but only if I also count TV appearances as well. And I'm sure there are a number of films with Lo Lieh that aren't even on IMDB. Or films he's in where they don't list him in the cast, so they don't get in his filmography. I'm sure I've seen some of those, too.

No confirmed release yet, but this Arc/ Dragon Dynasty partnership also seems to be for Flying Guillotine 1 and 2. Wouldn't be surprised if its announced for October.

No, he means The Flying Guillotine. What you're thinking of is Master of the Flying Guillotine aka The One-Armed Boxer vs. The Flying Guillotine aka One Armed Boxer 2, which is already available on dvd. The Chinese Professionals is probably some random name some bootlegger slapped on a release.

Dang, I swore I wasn't going to double dip with Region 1 Shaw releases, but the IVL release of Avenging Eagle was cut, Blood Brothers and Killer Clans were non-anamorphic, and Golden Swallow went OOP pretty quick--I never even got that one. I'll be curious to see the specs on all these....

i was at walmart last night and noticed the great Donnie Yen movie "Bodyguards and Assassins" was finally released in the states by the same company that does the Dragon Dynasty dvds. Looks like it was the 139 min version too.

Bodyguards & Assassins was released by Indomina, who are distributed by Vivendi, like Dragon Dynasty. The fact that it is only on DVD is a crock of shit, since every other English speaking territory in the world has a Blu-ray. I actually wrote a column about my disappointment at this fact and got some very angry e-mails about it.

Although I wish some of these hit blu also, I pre-ordered the remained of the Dragon Dynasty titles, I also pre-ordered Lion Vs Lion and Magnificent Ruffians.

I found a few copies of the OOP DD release of SUPERCOP for $4. Not the definitive edition of the film, but probably the best with the original language track to see the light of day in the US.

I believe its a box set with the movies in 4 slim cases with a slip cover, comes out October 4th.
