7.1 ch dvd's

I know we've been through the whole "best surround dvd" thing about a gajillion times before. New question, and when I do a search for this I pull up about fifty things about receivers and dvds. I've got a kick ass 7.1 receiver and some great speakers, any dvd's done in 7.1ch.? All I can find are 5.1's and about one 6.1...

OOps.... Never mind, I feel like an idiot... I see that THX or 6.1 dts is the best you can get and is considered extended surround..... Sorry..

I was just goning to post that you are correct - the "seventh channel" is just a part of a matrix done by the reciever. DTS ES and Dolby EX 6.1 encodings are pretty much the top of the heap for encoding. - HD-DVD and BD bring new systems, but no reciever can handle them yet - that I know of.

You could also lessen the pain and in edit mode, delete this thread completely.

But Speedy is correct, there are no 7.1 discrete channel sound tracks.
