A friend of mine gave me a free copy he got a few years ago, his uncle or aunt is involved with making these. I used it a few times, the cats really got into it believe it or not. Highly Recommended, Two Paws Up. Google around a bit for better prices.

Oddly enough, my cat wouldn't take her eyes off Tetsuo: The Iron Man.

My cats don't do anything but stare out the window, but my dog loves American Idol.

We don't let her vote anymore, though.

Animals can not see the frequency that tv's emit so the cats were reacting to the buzzing sound, not the actual bees.
Nope, sorry, not true. My cat has actually sat down and watched Milo and Otis -- her head tracks across the screen following the animals.

Just hook your PC up to it and move your mouse around a bit. That always keeps my cats entertained for hours.

for some reason my cat would watch "the black stallion" when it was a kitten. Why do you want your cat to watch tv, they are pretty lazy already

My cat has chased lasers for years and never gets tired of it. If I put it on the ceiling, she will leap onto the furniture and jump in the air to try to get it.

We've entertained OURSELVES by letting the cats chase flashlight beams since I was a kid. Interestingly, only some cats will take interest in it, but when they do, they'll chase it mercilessly.

my cat doesn't watch tv...he's only into his X-BOX. I try to tell him that there still are some good shows on tv, but he's like "whatever" and he goes back to his "gaming."

The 'Home And Dry' video from the Pet Shop Boys' 'PopArt' DVD drives both of my cats crazy; it's primarily footage of a small mouse running around subway tracks. Put that on auto-repeat and the cats are amused for hours. They make themselves nuts jumping over each other trying to attack the TV screen.

Good times.

If that doesn't work, just take the disc out of the player and use the reflective side to beam light onto the ceiling. That always gets 'em hyper.

If you have HDTV channels you may not even need a DVD.
