I'm glad the movies are coming out, but those covers blow.

That is by far the most rediculous "Edition" that I've ever heard of. "Everything's Duckie"?? What the F??

I would agree with you if I didn't find it so cute... and I will admit that I laughed out loud when i read the edition title (it was a like a 'cool' not a 'pathetic' kinda way).

The film was about Ringwald's character and her struggles as a teenager, "everythings duckie edition" are you f**king kidding Paramount? Jon Cryer probably stole the show as Duckie but the film was about Ringwald's character. They make it seem like Cryer is the centerpiece of the whole film. What a joke.

I am glad I am happy with both the Pretty In Pink and Some Kind Of Wonderful dvd's that I own. Will not upgrade.

Can we please forgive Paramount now for the "bueller, bueller" tag for the Ferris dvd. Sounds like pure genius compared to Pretty In Pink's tag.

Does anyone believe these releases portend an upgraded SE for The Breakfast Club anytime soon?

I can't decide whether to pull the trigger at DDDVD 20% off sale or wait.

Not Paramount, so this has nothing to do with that.

Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science are all Universal Properties (unfortunately), and I wouldn't expect another edition until the Next-Gen.

Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Pretty in Pink (Special Collector’s Edition) for 29th August 2006 priced at $14.99 SRP. Young Andie (Molly Ringwald) is one of the not-so-popular girls in high school. She usually hangs out with her friends Iona (Annie Potts) or Duckie (Jon Cryer). Duckie has always had a crush on her, but now she has met a new guy from school, Blane (James Spader). He's one of the rich and popular guys but can the two worlds meet?
When did James Spader become Blane?

He was in the movie yes (Steff), but Andrew McCarthy was Blane!

That's in the director's cut.

The sad part is the main target market for these movies are people who where teens in the 80's and are now 35 & up. Now these folks have to deal with an "Everything's Duckie" edition?

I wouldn't like that title when I was still 18.
