Do you buy single movies of a box set you have for accessibility?

What I mean is do you or would you buy a single disc release of a movie you have in a box set, but would be easier to view/get to the single release multiple times then unfolding a box set or something?

I'm thinking of doing this with "Aliens" simply because i love the movie and don't want to unfold the Quad pack everytime, not to mention it is hard to get to in my collection.

The Cow 05-11-06 06:12 PM

No, I'm not that lazy.

Filmmaker 05-11-06 08:20 PM

Goddamn, man...

Digital Groove 05-11-06 08:29 PM

wow

he must be lazy AND rich

danwiz 05-11-06 08:42 PM

What? Are you totally nuts? No, I'm not anywhere near that lazy!

Subgeniusguy 05-11-06 08:45 PM

You could just keep the Aliens disc outside the digipack in a keepcase or something or just change the packaging altogether. No wait... you could just buy a DVD player devoted to that film and keep it hooked up to your TV at all times so that you don't even have to get it out of the case to watch it. You can just change to that player on your remote.

rw2516 05-11-06 08:46 PM

No. But I have the habit of keeping single discs if I later buy a set that includes that title.

dadaluholla 05-11-06 08:46 PM

No... but sometimes I go buy a new pair of socks when I don't feel like making the effort to open my dresser drawer.

kms_md 05-11-06 08:53 PM

no, but in the case of the alien series, i have both the individual releases and the quad pack.

Drexl 05-11-06 08:55 PM

Just do a custom cover.

It's more of a "what silly topic can I post next?" thing.

Um, no. If it's that big a deal [which it is on some, due to packaging] I'll put the disk/s I' actively watching or that's next 'on deck' on a blank regular case I have, and put it near the dvd player. If I get a set where I already had a single disk, I'll usually try to either sell/trade it or give it to someone.

EdTheRipper 05-11-06 09:06 PM

Nope, I'd rather spend the extra money on a dvd I don't already own.

Maxflier 05-11-06 10:01 PM

Nah. I don't rewatch anything enough to worry about that. It's hard enough for me to find time to watch something once nowadays, not to mention multiple times.

wow , you have to be kidding me

If one is that lazy and rich, he could simply hire a butler to do it for you. *And* the butler could do other things as well, like put the disk in the player or run a bath. Best of both worlds.
