Hey, is MTV2's "Wonder Showzen" (DVD, Season 1) uncensored?

Sorry, I don't know.

I think the answer is green.

You mean can you hear the naughty words? Not quite. There are still bleeps, but it's part of the comedy, like when the Bleep Fairy shows up in one episode. The bonus features are not censored.

I heard a rumor that they had cut a shot of a burning flag, but it seemed like that rumor (which didn't spread too much) was based on a single post made at the HTF on April Fool's Day. So I didn't give it much credence.

But I'll check it now ...

[EDIT] Okay, here's the story ... that original post said that the "H.O.B.O.s" cartoon in Episode 3 (Ocean) used to end with an ECU of the mother's face as she started to cry, then it zoomed in on the tear to show a burning flag. This shot is definitely not on the DVD.

However, I can't 100% confirm that that's the way it used to end, because I taped over the episodes I had, since the DVD was coming. I definitely remember that shot existing, but the nature of the show is such that it could very easily be the end of a different cartoon. I haven't scanned the whole set yet, so I can't say it's not on there somewhere.

This annoys me on principle, but, truthfully, I remember seeing that shot, and it wasn't a funny joke ... it was just clearly a joke. I wasn't offended, and I can't believe that this is the thing of all things to get cut, but it doesn't make me want to sell off my set.

However, the kid dressed as Hitler *was* funny, and that resulted in an episode getting pulled from re-runs, so now I'm going to check to make sure that skit is on here.

[EDIT #2] That's on there, episode 7.

Here's the breakdown:

The end of "H.O.B.O-OPs" as broadcast (still got it on my DVR)-
Mother and son walk by deranged homeless vet.
Son: "Mommy, who is that man talking to?
Mother: "Just ignore him, honey. Just ignore him...(looks to "camera") And watch all of these wonderful commercials."
"The Star-Spangled Banner" played by a lone twangy guitar is heard as we zoom in on the boy shedding a single tear - in which the image of the American flag can be seen. The flag catches fire, and is shown burning. Fade to black.
(too goddamned many commercials)
Usual Wonder Showzen disclaimer, followed by a three-eyed version of the little girl logo, and back to the show.

The end of "H.O.B.O-OPs" on the DVD -
Mother and son walk by deranged homeless vet.
Son: "Mommy, who is that man talking to?
Mother: "Just ignore him, honey. Just ignore hi-"
Cuts to black.
Then three-eyed version of the little girl logo, and back to the show.

If it's an edit for content, it's one of the sloppiest ones I've ever seen. Since it comes right before a commercial break, could it just be some sort of mistake? If the aim was to remove the image of the burning flag, why not let the dialog play out? It should be noted that the burning flag held by the letter N in the episode "Birth" made it to DVD intact.
At the same time, "Ocean" on DVD doesn't have the "CENSORED" boxes that were on the broadcast version during the scenes where the gang are imagining giving their money to Charity(who is apparently some sort of a velveteen rabbit prostitute). Him's line "Charity, you have mouth like velvet" is on the DVD but was heard on the broadcast as "Charity, (dead silence)."

And speaking of the DVDs, (spoiler for anyone who hasn't opened theirs)
Spoiler:
Chauncey's pubic hair gets all over everything.
