I do want the set but that MSRP is a bit much for only 15 episodes.

Woah, are they high?!?!?!?

I see ALOT of these sets gathering dust on shelves at that price. McGruder becoming "The Man" himself. Sheesh.

Well, the price is steep, but I still have to have it. I've loved the Boondocks since it first appeared in newspapers. My local paper didn't run it, so I got my daily fix of it online and bought the books when they came out. I love the show as well -- especially RILEY. I gotta have this set at whatever price.

I agree with the ridiculous price, this is an adult swim show. I've been reading it in the papers for years and have enjoyed (not loved) the tv show now, I'd consider picking this up if it was more like $20. I'm more concerned with Brak Vol. 2 coming out at this point though.

True, but even on sale it'll still be WAY overpriced IMHO.

There's no way the price will be anywhere near that.

MSRP hasn't budged. At ~$35 sale price, it's not that bad, but it should be a bit less. It's not 2x better than Venture Bros.

Got mine at Target for $35. Anybody happen to find it cheaper anywhere else?

(Almost spat my beer out at the first sight of full-frontal grandad in "Garden Party")

I priced matched at Wal-Mart the Circuit City price so that I could get it at midnight on Monday night instead of waiting till 10 a.m. on Tuesday. I LOVE this set.

$41 at Best Buy.

Meh, I'll wait a year for the price to drop.

I netflix'd the first disc...I thought this show was terrible. I didn't even laugh during 'Garden Party'...15 minutes in, I turned it off, sealed it up, and sent it back.

Ugh.

great series.
Not for the tight butt conservatives i guess.

from episode: "The Boondocks" Wingmen (2006)

"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore, trust the physician and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility." - Khalil Gibran

It's a shame they didn't include a separate disc with audio cues. I love the music used (both hip hop and jazz).

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but has anyone else had problems with the Boondocks DVDs freezing up? I sat down with the series this morning, and at random times throughout the episode, it would freeze for a few seconds and resume playing. Really annoying. Am I in the minority here?

wastro, I have watched every disc at least three times each and have never had any trouble at all. You might want to just return your set for another.
