List of full bitrate DTS DVD's?
First, what is the difference between full bitrate and half bitrate DTS? How can you tell if a release is full or half?
And, is there a list of full bitrate DTS DVD's? |
Full bitrate dts is encoded at 1536 kbps, as opposed to 768 kps which is on most DVDs with a dts track. Basically, a full bitrate dts track is uncompressed and is usually provides a fuller audio track for a better overall experience.
Here is a thread from dvdtherapy.com (and awesome site) that lists them all. Enjoy. The import forums |

If you use the Advanced Criteria Search at Widescreen Review, you can specify full or half bit rate DTS. This works along with a thousand other cool criteria to search on.

So was the DTS on laserdiscs compressed? It's always said to have been full bit rate.
