Rent - DVD Problems
 

Today at work, we had a woman return Rent because it had 2 special feature discs in it and no disc 1. So we returned it. Still in the store, she opened the new one...same thing. We ended up opening five of them until we found one with both discs.

I wonder how many shipments were like this? Any problems reported yet?

That's odd, my copy had both discs so no problem here. Wonder if it was just a bad shipment to that store or region.

I didn't get a copy like that either. I wonder if making the two discs look so much alike was a factor?

When I hit this link, I thought you guys would be talking about something totally different that I noticed a couple of days ago but hadn't had a chance to post about until now. On the second disc of Rent, while watching the PSA for the Jonathan Larson fund thing, I noticed a HUGE amount of sound problems, like cracks and hisses or just random noises, etc.. I watched all of the other features on the disc, and none of them showed any signs of this problem. Has anyone else noticed this or do I just have a defective copy?

Looks like two other stores in our district got DVD's like this as well. Must just be certain shipments.
