Addams Family, The - Some minor edits on the Volume 1 set

Bill Wilson with WDUN 550 in North Georgia received his Addams Family Volume 1 set the other day, and noticed a small disclaimer on the back of the box:
This home entertainment version has been edited from its original television presentation.
He sent us a note, and we asked Fox/MGM what the disclaimer referred to. They told us that there were two edits done to the episodes, and both featured Carolyn Jones (as Morticia) singing "It's so nice to have a Thing around the house" to the tune of "It's So Nice to Have a Man Around the House." The music couldn't be licensed, so it had to be cut from the episode.
Thanks to Bill for sending us the note (we don't have our set yet), and to Fox/MGM for mentioning the edits on the packaging, and for responding so quickly.

Picked up the set on the way home from work, and I've watched the first 3 episodes (the first episode I watched both with and without the commentary). As much fun as I remember. Hooray for the Addams Family!

With 22 episodes on volume 1 and volume 2, that would leave only 20 episodes for volume 3, and I'm hoping that they will use that extra room to include the notoriously bad 1977 Halloween Special on the last set.

I hope Paramount will include The Addams Family Halloween full-color TV special on the third set! I know the folks at Paramount are probably putting this together now - so TAKE NOTE!
