How bad do we need a ........ SE?

Well, MGM heard my cry for a "Midnight Cowboy" SE (coming 2/21) as previously decreed in... "Midnight Cowboy"...how bad do we...
I also yearn for "Red Dawn" to be specialized..."Red Dawn"...how bad do we...

I would also like "Face/Off" and "Garden State" to be labeled SE soon!

So what other DVD's would you like to see made into a "Special Edition" before any talk of this dreaded new format is upon us?

High Plains Drifter, but its Universal. Atleast I have the orignal release with the better cover art.

Funny, just checked Dvdpricesearch and 7 of 8 places show the orignal release cover art that I have not seen in any store in awhile (like 2+ years) and only Dvdplanet shows the current release cover art.

I've always wanted an SE of "They Live". Apparently Carpenter recorded a commentary for another region so it probably wouldn't be too hard for them to slap an SE together. I'd also like to see "The Abyss" reissued with an anamorphic transfer. Other stuff I'd like has already been mentioned.

I second for "Cool Hand Luke". It is actually the first DVD in my collection sorted by release date.

Apparently this was lifted from the laserdisc.

Nice to see someone here giving props to the "real" Punisher!! I second that, and Ace Ventura, BEETLEJUICE GODDAMNIT, Crash, The Game, etc.

I've posted this many times, but I'll repeat it until someone listens:

THIEF (Mann) with the THEATRICAL cut, mastered from a good or restored transfer (pipe dream, probably), a retrospective doc, and the original poster as a cover, goddammit. Not enough people know or care about this film to make such a project profitable for Sony.

First and foremost, I want a Kill Bill SE, now goddammit. And I want it to have about as much content as the Sin City extended edition. My desires for a SE of any other movie is secondary.

My crotch yearns for a Phantom Of The Paradise SE

I think these are all due as well:

Adventures In Babysitting
Bava films. All of em except for the recent stellar SE of Blood And Black Lace.
The Brood, Shivers, Scanners & Crash (where's the Cronenberg love?)
Creepshow, Monkey Shines & The Dark Half (aka the only romero films without SE's)
Fright Night
Halloween II
Harold And Maude
The House On Sorority Row (and Prom Night, Terror Train and so on...)
Just One Of The Guys (and while you're at it, A proper Widescreen transfer)
My Bloody Valentine (uncut, with extras. Us fans are waiting, with blood in our mouths and hate in our hearts)
Poltergeist (if they ever can get spielberg to own up)
Real Genius

And everyone else's requests thus far.

oh... One perplexing one. The Breakfast Club. It's not my favorite John Hughes film, but it's the one that is begging for a Special Edition the most. The film lends itself to it. All those actors really need to be reunited. Perhaps set them inside that same school library and do a video commentary?
