Seijun Suzuki's The Taisho Trilogy - 3/7/2006
 

I did several searches for this in the forums, from Taisho to Seijun Suzuki, and I found nothing.

Anyways, I stumbled upon this on Amazon:

It seems to be a trilogy of films from Seijun Suzuki from the 1980s, by "kimstim"
Through google I found this page:

Not sure if kimstim is reputable at all, so if anyone has any info about them, feel free to share. If this is old news then please close, but I searched and couldn't find a thing about it.

Just thought it would be of interest to some of you.

I've actually heard of "Zigeunerweisen" and have been wanting to see it for quite some time. I'll definitely give this a rental.

Kimstim is reputable. Kino picked them up and is distributing their stuff. Looks great.

Thanks for the head's up!!! I love Seijun's pre-Nikkatsu works .. and the guy's nuts enough so I might just have to blindly purchase these ones.

Sounds typically Seijun by Kimstim's description too. Though, I'm not familiar with his more recent works I'm psyched to bring in some more recent .. can't wait. I haven't even seen Pistol Opera yet :(. So many, so little time ...
