Houston Astros 2005 Championship Season DVD announced

http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp...=.jsp&c_id=hou

Finally! Lots of fans here in Houston passed on the official World Series DVD since it was so White Sox-heavy. This will be a real treat on my shelf once it's released.

Huge Astros fan here. I can't wait for this. I've never experienced so much emotion in any other Astros season. Good to see other fans out there.

'stros before ho's genetlemen.

Not to threadcrap, but the Astros didn't win the championship - maybe they should call it "The Astros' Second-Place Good Try DVD". Now to put on that Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Champions t-shirt I just got in the mail.

cheers,

"National League Champions" is quite the accomplishment. Even more so when taking into account where the Astros were at one point (15-30) and the drama of their playoff series.

I'd say this kind of release is well deserved.

This is a hotly anticipated dvd, considering the nature of the WS dvd (all White Sox).

I have to give Houston their props here, but I never would have bought a Cardinals dvd for the 2004 season after their debacle in the Series. I view the Astro's showing more or less the same.

Considering the type of team the Astros had in 2005, I would say it was a special season. No one expected the Astros to get there, with the losses they had in free agency, so I truly think that they deserve this recognition.

I see there are a few people on this thread that just don't "get it." If you're not an Astros fan, fine, but I fail to see why anyone who actually paid attention to the '05 season would question the release of this DVD for a SECOND.

I can't believe the WS DVD prominently features the team that actually WON the series! Couple this with the "History of the Buffalo Bills" and you have quite the collector's set!

Roger Clemens at 43-years-old posting a 1.83 ERA was even more amazing last year.

And the Mets get a 1986 World Series DVD... I can smell the Astros fans disgust and envy.

Not to go off-topic, but is there any more info on that '86 Mets DVD? Just checked the usual sites and didn't see any notice of it. . .
