Anyone have any info on this? (I'm talking Region 1, natch). It's the ONLY VHS movie I still have left (I still have a buttload of laserdiscs that haven't been upgraded, but I don't believe 'Xmas' even came out on LD.)

It's not that it's that great a film but it's annoying me just having it sit there, all lonely.

Does Universal still even own the rights to this? How did it fall through the cracks? The soundtrack album for it's even still in print!

This movie has a great soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

The most recent VHS release (now OOP) was released by Artisan, so I'm guessing "no."

And Sakamoto stars as the evil camp commander. With both Sakamoto (at the height of YMO's popularity) and David Bowie starring, this film is a big favorite among new wave music fans. A DVD should sell fairly well. There are certainly more obscure films already ported over.
