Max Fleischer's Popeye cartoons on DVD?

I did a thread search for the topic, but just didn't have any luck. I'm sorry in advance if I overlooked a thread ...

I was just wanting to check on the status of Max Fleischer's Popeye cartoons coming to DVD. I had read at a few different sites that Warner Bros. has the rights, but there are legal issues that have presently prevented them from release. (Although some individual shows may be on public domain collections)

I had picked up the Fleischer Superman 'toons collection a while back and really enjoyed them. And after watching some of the Popeye shows on Boomerang, it spurred my hopes again in acquiring those great cartoons on DVD.

Again, if anyone has any new info or links I should check out (or other threads), it would be greatly appreciated.

Below is a link to a review of a new "Popeye" DVD being released by Mackinac Media (the folks who put out the highly-acclaimed "Fatty" Arbuckle DVD set last year.) The review also references other "Popeye" releases that might be of interest to you.
