But then...........................the insertion of Hayden in ROTJ ghost scene. That to me is the ultimate insult to see his mug next to Yoda & Alec Guiness, to this day, even if you don't like the PT, you have to watch ROTJ with his face at the end of the movie and it links trilogies.
What??! The insertion of Hayen in ROTJ makes WAY more sense to the overall story than having Greedo shoot first!

I just picked up the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD (the set with the bonus disc), I haven't had a chance to watch it because thanks to Christmas I have a huge back log of stuff to watch. Now that I have the DVD set is there any reason I should keep the VHS SE set? I'm donating some DVDs and VHS tapes to the library soon, I don't know if there is a big enough difference between the SE and DVDs to keep the VHS set.

I wouldn't worry about keeping the VHS for archiving. There are much better sources out there that are being archived.

Only made it through Ep. IV, but that is a solid read. Thanks for the link. I think most of the changes are for the better, it is those rare instances that are the exception. i.e. "Guido."

I guess it depends how much you care. I saw the SEs in 1997 and thought they went too far. For me, the definitive Star Wars Trilogy was how they were when they were released (I realise that Star Wars had some changes after its initial 1977 release). Therefore, I will never buy whatever Lucasfilm releases as "Star Wars", unless the films are as they were, which will never happen, so I will keep my VHS boxset and......
