there's hardly an exclusive that is like any other. they are so varied, how can you pick 1 type?

yeah, but discussing the "merits" of each?? they are trinkets. cool, little extras with little or no intrinsic value except more chochkees to put on the mantle .

Ticket. All the other stuff is crap as far as i'm concerned, at least you can use the movie ticket.

I'd say the bonus disk too, but i've never seen an extra exclusive disk worth getting.

Since it was set up to only pick one, I picked "Bonus Disc". Most are crappy but some are decent. 2nd place would've been a movie ticket.

I'm a little unclear - are we talking bonus discs a la "Scrubs" and Best Buy, where another disc is tacked on the package? Or 2nd DVDs like the recent "War of the Worlds" and "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" releases?

I'm partial to bonus discs, but I voted for lithographs. The Best Buy lithograph for The Incredibles was nice, and CC gets kudos for the Batman Begins lithograph.

A ticket has the most immediate value, but only if you care to see the movie in question. I was on the fence about Sky High even though my daughter and I enjoyed it in the theater, but the movie cash it contained for Narnia sealed the deal. I was going to spend that $5.75 at the theater anyway, so I considered my Sky High cost to be much less than it was.

For me, retailer exclusives / pack-ons are just nice-to-haves if all other things are equal. I always try to go for the lowest cost as my "retail exclusvie" of choice. But then again, I rarely buy anything without price matching anyway. I try to do all my retail shopping at best buy, merely because I can price match everything, get 90 days no int on the credit card on every purchase, and get a measely 3.33% back in reward zone coupons.

My vote: Other (lowest cost)

My exact thoughts. I've never really been impressed with the bonus discs and so the tickets hold the most "value" to me.

These were not bonus discs, but rather separate releases (Deluxe Editions) of the movie. Bonus material usually does not change the price of the product, whereas these releases had their own MSRP's.

I would say bonus disc first because I'll keep that. Then ticket. I enjoy free movie cash but I don't buy every dvd that has free cash, but I might be more inclined to buy a dvd release that has a free bonus disc. I won't buy a dvd just for free movie cash if it's not a movie I don't want to see anyway.

I also like some of the special "cases" that are mostly non-region 1, such as the alien head; I, Robot head, etc.

Other. Keep the price down and skip the exclusive stuff.

Bonus disc or free ticket. Don't care about the other stuff. Just more junk to clutter up the apartment or get tossed.

Book/screenplay. Bonus discs are nice, but I've only really gotten those with DVDs already jam-packed with extras already. I loved the book/script that came with the WOTW LE at Best Buy.

I don't care for ticket, unless it's for something I want to see. And even then it's not a big deal, since I see movies in the theatre about once a year. And it can't be a mall-in.

Bonus disk, depending on what's on it.

I voted for doll/stuffed animal/other sort of toy. I can either sit it on my desk, or my boy can play with it [he loved that Incredibles basketball.]

But 'lowest price' is important as well--I generally won't pay more than a dollar or so more for the tchotchke, unless it's something really cool or actually worth something.

I'd probably throw the food away. I don't need a movie ticket since I never go to the theater. Trinket's/dolls/comics are for kids. Exclusive packaging gets thrown away since I use custom covers for almost all my DVD's. I havne't owned a poster since I was in junior high.

That leaves bonus discs and lithographs. I voted bonus disc because that's what I'd prefer, but I usually get whatever Best Buy has to offer. I like collecting the lithographs (even though they're all still sealed in a pile), mainly because some day my sons might want to put them up in their game room (polar express, madagascar, incredibles, etc.).

I vote for the screenplay. Since I am interested in such things, I feel like this is the most valuable bonus item.

It's all about the bonus disc.....A free movie ticket comes at a distant second.

I really like something extra that I can display, so i chose Doll/stuffed animal.

anything else I would find no use for.

1) Bonus Disc, even though some do suck as others have said.

2) Movie Ticket

3) Exclusive Packaging

I'm a sucker for bonus DVDs...in the rare cases where they have trailers on them that the actual film's DVD doesn't (like the bonus disc that came with the reissue of THE RING), I almost like them more than the feature disc.

I'm a little baffled by the use of "exclusive."

I like movie tickets, but I've never seen one offered as a retail exclusive (eg, only at Best Buy or Walmart).

Generally, I ignore store exclusives and shop for price.
