Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 2 Glitch?

Just checking if other have had any issues with their Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 2 DVD.

I was watching it tonight and at 15:48 it paused for a second, showed one more frame, the paused for about 10 seconds, finally jumping to 16:00. I played it back twice to confirm the issue is repeatable and that the timer on the player is not incrementing while it is paused.

This occurred on a Pioneer DVR-533HS DVD Player/Recorder.

I then checked it in my Sony DVP-NS775V which did not have any problems with it.

I have not watched the rest of it yet, but will do so on the Pioneer this weekend.

I watched it in its entirety yesterday on my Sony DVD Player and had no problems.

No problems on my Denon 2200. Does anyone know if there's a layer change on this?

It's doubtful that layer change would be necessary on something that's just over an hour. The first "Clone Wars" disc says it's single-layer and this one says it's dual-layer but there's nothing on the disc that would require a change from one layer to another. I suspect that the main program is on one layer and the supplements are on another. The entire "Clone Wars" should have been released on one DVD in the first place. You have two "volumes" that are barely an hour each and no more than 30 minutes of extra features, there's absolutely no doubt that all the content from both volumes would have fit onto a single disc.

A "creative decision" perhaps?

No problems on my Sony. Sorry to hear that, I know the frustrations of glitched discs. :(

probably just got a bad disc, just exchange it for another copy.
