Jon Land, the screenwriter of Dirty Deeds, posted a message over at the IMDb message board and left his email address. I emailed him with some questions regarding the DVD and received a very helpful reply. Mr. Land's comments are in bold.

Thanks for your note and your interest in the DIRTY DEEDS DVD. Let me try and answer your questions/concerns:

Mr. Land, can you tell me when the "Unrated" Dirty Deeds DVD is being released? The official ship, release date is January 10, which means if you preorder you would have it by the end of that week.

Mr. Land, is there a website with information on the DVD? I'm having a very difficult time finding any information on it. We are in the process of updating the current Website and the new version should be up shortly with links to order the unrated version. www.dirtydeedsthemovie.net is the web address. Or try Amazon or similar sites after December 12

What types of extras are going to be on the Unrated disc? A few scenes that were cut for content to get us our PG-13 rating (The third deed bread scene, for example, restored in its entirety.). Also a number of scenes featuring sexual situations and nudity that were shot specifically for the DVD. We also have footage from premier parties and interviews with the principles, including me!

How much longer is the Unrated cut? Only a couple minutes of content but considerably more than that if you watch the Special Features and Outtakes.

What are the extra scenes? See above.

Will the film be presented in a 16x9 enhanced (anamorphic) widescreen ratio? Good question and I think the answer is, yes, but I'm not sure.

So I guess the big question is if Lacey gets nekkid.

Oh man, do I ever hope so. I didn't see the film in the theater (it didn't play anywhere near me), but someone who did see the film said over on the IMDb message board that "Lacey does take her top off but it is a above the breast shot of her doing it."

Lame. So the extra scenes with nudity (shot specifically for the DVD) are not being incorporated into the unrated release?

No, that's not what I got out of it. At least two minutes of "content" (some of this could very well be nudity, maybe there's just more of it in the extras section) is being inserted back into the film while even more will turn up in the extras section. And being that Lacey had an almost topless scene in the PG-13 theatrical cut, it sure sounds like there might be a chance that we'll get to see her breasts in the unrated cut. Maybe. I hope.

You are living in a dream world. If her boobs were coming out, we would have heard about it already.

First, let me say that, yeah, it most likely is just wishful thinking on my part and it probably won't happen, but there's nothing wrong with holding onto hope. And if it doesn't happen, whatever.

Heard about it already? From who? How many people in the general public do you think have seen the unrated DVD at this point to comment on it? There sure as hell aren't any reviews floating around on the 'net.

Im am surprised to how unkown this movie was in the theater... I can't wait for the DVD nudity or no nudity.
