Got this before I heard about all the "edits". For anybody who is still interested, Target has a bonus disc with their copies of the box set. It has the top 10 Jackass moments with intros from Knoxville.

Anyway, so do the previously released volumes 2 and 3 have stuff that is not on the box set?

Does the bonus disc have stuff that was cut from this set?

I believe it is Bam skating in the hot dog suit, and the song is appropriately enough "Hot Dog" by Lou Donaldson.

Question for those with the set - during the Gumball Rally episode when Steve-O skateboards down the road with a USA thong on, does "Real American" by Rick Derringer still play in the background, or was that edited out?

is Pontius in the devil costume the one where he walks down the street telling people he's not so bad and how he invented circumcision, and at the end the crazy guy pulls down his sign and attacks him?

if that's the same skit you're talking about, then you should know that my copy of the box set has that.

i was also sad to see that Weeman as an Oompa Loompa wasn't there. i bet they had a rights issue with that, what with the Tim Burton thing and all. too bad, one of my favorite Jackass moments. still, the box set is worth a buy for fans of the show, IMO.

I don't see why they just release a "Complete Series" set with full episodes in the first place. That's what would have made the most sense.

I read about this on the Jackass website, that's gonna be awesome. Pretty much all of that footage is on the site anyway, but I'm that much of a fan of the boys I'll buy it anyway. I wonder if the DVD will contain anything from the 'Too Hot For MTV' tapes the Jackass crew shared internally.

Still have never opened my Target boxset after all this time so I had no clue there was stuff missing. But glad to hear they are sort of fixing that with this Lost Tapes release. I'll be picking up a copy of that for sure.

Awesome! I bought the set on Amazon marketplace sealed. It arrived and it had a Best Buy price sticker, but it had the Target bonus disc inside!

Not shocking, since that was the one sketch a kid nearly died imitating.

A lot of people who've only seen Jackass also don't realize the self-defense sketch is edited. The original, uncut video ends with Knoxville shooting himself in the chest with a revolver while wearing a bulletproof vest.

Personally I think MTV was stupid to give anyone willing to do that a show. One could make a case for the stunts they did for MTV being somewhat controlled, but testing a bulletproof vest on a living person crosses the line in my book, even self-inflicted.
