is DDD shipping yours UPS? Mine shipped UPS Ground last week, however my bro-inlaw just found out that his shipped "standard mail". I thought it was funny, but wanted to find out what type of shipping you guys are getting with the free method.

Im pretty sure for a package that size they'll ship it UPS. I just ordered the Friends: One with all ten seasons and used standard shipping and they shipped it UPS Ground.

I got a wild guess that those who would receive their ape heads this week from DDD might get the LE#6,000 to #8,000 range out of 10,000

Here's the updated picture, with recently arrived ape head. Numbered 43-hundred-something...

Has anybody seen any B&M prices on the four sequel single discs? I didn't see anything in Bargains. Since the wife won't allow the apehead, I'll just finish out what I have with the four sequels and the animated series.

Crap, i don't think i am going to be able to leave my ape head out for display because my dog keeps barking at it. I kinda had a feeling that might happen because she flips out anytime i take my POTA mask out of the closet.

I got my set today. It looks pretty good, but my dog barks at it as well and my wife won't let me display it cause it is freaky looking. I am thinking about putting on the pillow next to her some night and then waking her up.

That would be funny, but you'd probably have to sleep on the couch for a few days after that.

Yup...even my wife, normally forgiving in nature, has stated it must go into my office...or dvd vault. Guess it's the office. And yes, the thing is a dog magnet. My rottie gets nervous when I pet the monkey.. Better than spanking, yes?

Boy, that was a fun adventure just getting it unpacked! It came in a HUGE box, with another box inside of it, then the actual slipcover box, covering the foam casing. it was very well protected to say the least.

This is now my favorite package for any DVD release that I own. They really put a lot of thought into this one, and while it may not be as elaborate as the Alien Head from Japan, it's still a great item.

Hang onto your 35th edition POTA set...

My copy of the Legacy set (the five feature films plus the "Behind the POTA" documentary) arrived yesterday. Much to my disappointment, the 'Behind' disc is the exact same one that was in the previous Evolution set, right down to the disc label and inserts, which don't match the rest of the Legacy set!

Nice going, Fox. Glad I didn't sell my 35th anniversary 2-disc POTA set. The 'Behind' disc in that set had tons of extras that aren't included in the Legacy collection.

yep....we have been discussing that for almost 2 weeks now....bad news for you is that everyone with the ape head gets all the extras.

Won't allow the Ape Head because of the large pricetag or because it's a huge Ape Head? If it's the latter, you could always sell the head on eBay, thus reducing your cost some and eliminating any decorating fears.

Got my big-ass monkey head today. I've got to say that this is absolutely gorgeous. Not only does the packaging look good, but the discs are packaged so that they won't pop out and get damaged in transit. And with them being hidden under the shirt on the back of the bust, there's no distraction on the packaging where you look at it and say "oh yeah, there's where it opens up for the discs."

Yeah, my wife voted against this also....I did myself also. She actually liked the ape head..amazingly, but the price was a bit much right now, saving some cash for other things. Plus, I've never actually seen any of the movies except the original PotA and the remake. Seems like a lot of cash for a blind buy

Mostly the apehead, which is precisely why I wanted it. I already have the 2 disc SE of the original flick, the 2 disc Burton, the 2disc Image Behind... and the liveaction TV series. Since she can't stand the thought of that thing in the house, it really makes more sense for me to get the four new 16x9 sequels and the animated when that's released separately.

Got mine today also, #4300. This is by far the coolest set I own and couldn't be any happier with the purchase. I should try petting it in front of my dog, wonder how he'd react?
