I don't understand it completely, but I know enough that DVD-18s are bad. Because they're double-sided, right? I prefer single-sides myself. Too bad they're continuing to do this "on the cheap." I guess we'll have to deal with music replacement too. Some eps suffer more than others from this, IMO. Sometimes it's just nice to be able to see this at all again. But then you wonder... nah, not like I need to pour any more gas on this fire.

P.S. Maybe a dumb question, but I'm having a hard time getting the answer on my own - what were the "evil leaper" episodes, and which season were they in?
