DX 4 Life 01-30-07 07:14 PM

You can also go to Wal-Marts website and they have all those 3.88-8.88 dvds on there, I just stocked up yesterday since the Wal-Marts here didn't have the display...and only .97 for shipping on each.

doctaheath78 01-30-07 09:08 PM

Looks like Wal-Mart raised the prices to $6.88 and $10.88

from JR's blog http://www.jrsbarbq.com/blog/

Once AGAIN, I do not know what DVDs will be released or when but I occasionally make suggestions to the powers that be. I can virtually assure you that a Mr. Perfect DVD will be released in 2007 but that is not etched in stone, more an educated guess.
Curt certainly deserves it and the stories from the wrestlers about “Perfecto” should be priceless.

I thought I would let everyone know that the Rumble Anthology is only $188.99 at Amazon.com, and that if you intend to get it, you should pre-order it now as (1) it's going to have limited quanities and (2) you save $80.96 off the retail price of $269.95. I know most people here won't get it because it's too expensive, but for the one or two of you here who DO intend to get it, this is the best deal. Nice box art too. Good price for all 20 Royal Rumbles.

$149.88 at Wal-Mart.com.

I want to get it, but I think I'm going to wait until it's marked down closer to $100, or just pick up one used.

JeremyM 02-02-07 10:03 PM

Dumb question but does Wal-Mart charge you when the item ships like Amazon, or at the time of pre-order? Seems to be a good price at this time. Thanks!

Edit: Wow, forgot about sales tax--adds about 11 bucks to my order. Might wait for a better deal now.

DVDFreaker 02-03-07 06:10 AM

This is sadly the worse cover art of any wrestling DVD covers I ever seen -ohbfrank-

I'd have to agree on that, the dvd is on my want list anyway.

Same here, only $20 dollars, not a bad price for a 3 disc set

A Mr. Perfect DVD? ABOUT TIME!

tonymontana313 02-03-07 10:18 AM

You guys that want the new DX dvd are aware that this only includes the new DX right? This doesn't include any of the classic DX stuff whatsoever.

bodomnet 02-03-07 10:56 AM

Yeah, I have the old DX DVD anyway.

http://www.silvervision.co.uk/product.asp?pf_id=WWE1158

For the price, theres alot of content.. looks like a worthy buy to me.

dvd-4-life 02-03-07 11:02 AM

When is there going to be an Andre the Giant megaset?Does the WWE own the rights to the old NWA(70's) and Grand Prix(Canada) where Andre spent alot of time back in the 70's?

If you prefer quantity over quality, then yeah I would say the new DX dvd set is a great buy.

The Walmart deal looks good, but I hate the way they ship things out. Seems to me they love stuffing things in that white bubble padded envelope, no matter what the size.

I'd most likely buy an Andre dvd set. But to think of sitting through hours upon hours of his matches seems a little tiresome. To be fair though, I've mainly seen matches of his from the 80's where his body was really out of shape and he couldn't do much. I have heard that when Andre was younger he moved really well for a big man.

Wow, awesome thread. Came across it while searching for WWE Raw Homecoming DVD. I'm trying to complete my collection.

Anyone know if it is still available anywhere?

There' s a few examples of this on the reissued dvd of the old Coliseum video they put out a few years ago. Though to be honest, it was always more his aura and the way he was protected that have let his legend endure. Big Show blows him away as a worker, but he was sparingly trated as the force he should been and as a result he won't be remembered nearly as well.

I would rather NTSC, PAL won't due me any good. I never ever remember seeing it anywhere.

This is a nice surprise, even though I loathe double dipping:

From pwinsider.com:

The new Wrestlemania III DVD that will be released next month features the following preview: "WrestleMania III: The Championship Edition - See the biggest event in wrestling history in a whole new light. This digitally remastered version looks better than ever and features interviews with the Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Ricky Steamboat, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and many more of the legendary figures who were a part of this groundbreaking event. Video pop-ups throughout provide interesting facts about WrestleMania and the featured Superstars. Of course, all the great matches are here as well, including Hulk Hogan battling Andre the Giant for the WWE Championship and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat challenging "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the WWE Intercontinental title."

Amazon.com is listing it as a 2-disc set:

That sounds awesome...I already have the wrestlemania sets but I would double dip for the improved picture and extras

ThomaMon 02-05-07 06:38 PM

No question this will be added to my collection. Once they add anything new, I'm done.

Can you imagine how the U.K. fans might feel about this with the Tagged Classics edition of WM3 being released followed by the Anthology edition, and now this?
This will have been my third time purchasing WM3 if you count the VHS edition. I'm a sucker for those extras though. I just wish they would have released all the Wrestlemania's individually so I could have gotton 1-14. Maybe if this dvd does well, WWE will follow suit and do the same with the others. I hate double dipping as much as anyone, but when they improve on it, I feel a little better about it.
Jesus...who are we kidding...we'll be buying Wrestlemania Anthologies in some other format 20 years from now...lol
