Looking in the store, I could move the 619 DVD around enough to see that a white sticker covered the UPC area. I am wondering if it has the same UPC number (or any UPC number) as the normal 619 DVD. For trade-in purposes.

It's the normal UPC. The sensormatic tag on the back of "619" is a just on the case, not the cover art.

:(

If you made use of the $5 off (Bestbuy's See No Evil) coupon then it can be reduced to around $15

Our Walmart also has it for $19.99 but with the "afterscan" coupon I only got it for $14.24 (its just weird that it even reach to $5.97 discount than the $5 off).

Its weird upon presenting $5 off coupon to the walmart cashier, what I got was a $5.97 off after scan

Aquiring this one from CircuitCity is another great catch not only getting it at $9.99 but with the Kane Pendant that cost $8 at WWE Shopzone. This is a SWEET Deal!

There are reports that the WM22 DVD is edited! They "fixed" the botched ending in the Trish match. I wonder if the best moment was blurred or edited: Vince's bloody hand flipping off the camera while he's being taken out on the stretcher.

Cinemaddiction 05-24-06 06:11 PM

That's still there.

I ordered mine Sunday night and got it tonight.

So who is this "R7"? RVD? Rey?

Went to my Walmart today for other releases, and saw this as being listed as 14 dollars and some cents. It said "You save $5.00" right on the tag, so maybe all Walmarts are doing this? Or maybe just mine after another customer got them to price match CC price?

Mine, when scanned showed for $19.96 (which was also the same price showed at Walmart's New Release Price Label at the DVD stand) then the cashier scanned the Bestbuy's See No Evil WM22 $5 off coupon and the registry showed $14.24

FYI, another edited audio that I noticed was the "BOOM" Music by P.O.D. (The opening music for Saturday Night's Main Event aired at NBC). And upon watching it last night WOW! it was an entirely different opening music theme..

And there was also this closing credit added which was not aired at NBC.

rabdalas 05-25-06 07:20 AM

Took the Circuit City ad to Wal-Mart and they matched the $14.99 AND I got the bonus disc. My deal of the year thus far.

Class316 05-25-06 03:20 PM

I got an awesome deal for WM22 ($9.44 including tax with the coupon and includes the See No Evil Chain). But that awesome deal was somewhat blemished by paying $16.96 shipped for that CD and keychain which only included one crappy autograph :( (I would have been happy with just a single Edge or Orton).

Yup, very nice, I will probably buy this...

cactusoly 05-28-06 02:30 PM

This is cool but I would prefer a DVD with all of the title changes instead, just for historical value regardless of how good the matches are.

That would be awesome. Every single title change, and I believe almost all were televised so it would work out well.

movieking 05-28-06 04:17 PM

Wrestlemania 22 doesn't get released here in Canada until June 20th. :(

DVDFreaker 05-28-06 04:51 PM

Scratch that, I won't be buying it, I will ask that for my birthday since my birthday is in September

xage 05-28-06 08:10 PM

Just finished checking disc3 of WM22, The 2006 Hall of Fame Ceremony. And boy, they made drastic audio editing during Cena introduction to Fridge Perry. The F*ck Y*ou Cena Chant was edited out and even the audience were edited and mostly focused to those kids who cheered Cena during his intro speech.

dadaluholla 05-28-06 10:24 PM

I think i'll pass on that History of the WWE Championship DVD. I have zero interest in Bruno Sammartino, and most of of the other matches are on the other "best of" or bio releases. Plus if you own the Wrestlemania set too, thats even more repeat matches.
:(
Give me the history of the WCW championship instead.

Cinemaddiction 05-28-06 11:11 PM

It's kind of like Andre the Giant's DVD. They go so far back, it's just he and a bunch of wrestlers that are mediocre by today's standards, or just boring matches. Andre the Giant was neither technical, or showy. He lumbered and dominated.

Same here, with the exception of the Bruno, Backlund, and Cena matches, I have practically all of the others on dvd already. I wish they would get around to making a four horsemen set. For the releases on the horizon I'm definitely looking forward to the Dusty Rhodes set next Tuesday!
