It's so stupid that they're releasing Lockdown (April's PPV) now, but have announced no plans to release Destination X (March's PPV).

It's frustrating that TNA isn't releasing all of their PPVs in wide release (in stores) and in a timely manner like the WWE. Anybody know why they're not up to snuff like the WWE?

yeah, TNA releases are a little frustrating, they don't release the PPV's in any order and some of them you can only get on the web site and others are exclusive to some stores... Turning Point 05 is a FYE exclusive and Hard Justice 05 and Against All Odds 06 are Best Buy exclusive and Lockdown 05 was a Wal Mart exclusive in a box set with Victory Road 04 and Turning Point 04.

Hopefully they will get thier act together and release them faster, it amazes me how WWE can get a PPV DVD in the stores 2 or 3 weeks after it airs.

Update: Five copies left-all without the dog tag-at the local FYE as of Thursday afternoon. The shrinkwrap on a couple of the DVDs were ripped open on the back where the dog tag probably was-wonder if someone stoled the dog tag. Picked up one DVD for myself and one for a friends birthday. (While paying for the DVDs, the person waiting on me mentioned he sold one with a dog tag a few hours before-thanks dude for rubbing it in. :) ) Oh well, no biggie if I got the dog tag or not-just wanted these two events on DVD. Didn't have a DVD-R at the time of the first show and my VCR tape got ruined and for the second show, I messed up the timer on the DVD-R. (Never bothered to set the VCR as a backup.)

I saw this listing at Best Buy's site for the DX dvd.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=1550184

Can anyone make out what the text says? It looks like Vengeance comes packed with it.

Looks like a Vengeance poster with DX sprayed over it, to me. I guess that comes with it, which might be pretty cool.

It's $15.99 for it tomorrow through Saturday. Credit goes to speedy1961 at the DVD bargains for posting the Best Buy ad for this coming week.

As for the DX DVD itself, it's got a ton of DX/Owen Hart matches on there...I think there are 8 matches and 3 or 4 have Owen involved. The DVD runs three hours long.

tonymontana313 08-06-06 10:02 AM

According to the best buy website the DX dvd is a 2 disc set. The second disc is supposed to include 8 matches. I wonder if the second disc is a BB exclusive.

LaxBandit 08-06-06 12:50 PM

The DX-DVD is indeed two discs. Disc #1 is the feature while Disc #2 has eight matches featuring DX which includes: Shawn Michaels vs Mankind-8/11/97 RAW. Triple H & Shawn Michaels vs Mankind & The Undertaker-8/18/97-RAW. Triple H vs Bret "Hitman Hart-10/6/97 RAW. The only bonus is the Vengence PPV poster (?) at Best Buy.

Thanks for your input. How would you rate the dvd as far as feature and bonuses?

Best damm DX DVD out there today! :)

Actually I don't have the DVD - just got the above information from the shopzone area on WWE.com. Not sure yet on whether I plan on getting it on Tuesday when I head to Best Buy.

It was mentioned in TNA's message board(before it was shut down) that it had something to do with their contract with Navarre, the distributor of the dvd releases. Something silly like they could only release so many titles in-store during a calendar year. Didn't make much sense to me. I'm a TNA fan and am about ready to give up purchasing the dvds.

I bought the DX dvd from the WWE site and it is only 1 disc.

Phineas444 08-06-06 10:44 PM

Mine is also only 1 disc. The feature is only 60 minutes so there's more than enough room on it, no need for 2 discs. Don't forget, the main feature is censored unlike the VHS and in places there is video edited out on the dvd.

That's kinda corny. The wwe shopzone version is only 1 disc, no idea why wwe would produce a 2 disc set for retail when the contents are proven to fit on 1 disc.

Ok, I made an error-its indeed one disc. Please don't have DX come over and spray paint my car, opps that was in bad taste-with what happened last week with those "fans" who damaged houses/cars by spraying the DX logo.

jake_spade 08-07-06 11:50 AM

I guess the Bestbuy offer is only 1disc (We'll see tomm.) . The bonus given is only the "DX sprayed Vengeance Poster"

Its a bit late for retail stores to sell it. Its been more than month since it was sold at WWESHOPZONE.

DX DVD and WWE RAW HOMECOMING

Hi. Long time Reader, 1st time posting. :) Can anyone tell me what is exactly different between the DX original Video and DVD. I own the DVD and am a big DX fan but is it worth picking up the Video? Also is the RAW Homecoming DVD from Wal-Mart still around?

As far as I've seen, the DVD has bonus matches, which the vhs didn't. Also, the dvd blurs out the WWF scratch logo.

As for the Homecoming DVD, I think that was only available at Wal-Mart for a very short time, as I haven't been able to find it.

It is in the U.K.

Some say it was released here in the states thru wal-mart, but I have yet to hear of anyone owning it or finding it during that very short window it was released (which seemed like a day or two by various "reports")

jake_spade 08-08-06 12:41 PM

shacmasta,

You were left out.. this was a real "limited" time sale made by Walmart.

Im attaching a scanned image of the product I got from another forum.

If you are still in doubt, go call Walmart and inquire about the barcode attached on this picture.

Seems like alot of work. Rather sit here and pretend the dvd doesn't exist and dismiss your proof as "kooky" talk. -wink-

jake_spade 08-08-06 01:25 PM

Man you cannot pretend if your nearest Walmart did not sell it.

Walmart SuperStores Had a limited time having this on sale on a "WWE DVD Stand" together with WWE $5.50 DVDs (Stonecold, HBK, Undertaker, Andre, Intercontinental Champions)

doctaheath78 08-08-06 02:41 PM

Well thanks for the info. Guess I have to find one on eBay unless someone has an extra copy of the Raw DVD that I will buy or trade for.
