I'm looking forward to seeing this.

Waiting to see word if this will be the extended cut that Crowe showed at Tiff of the theatrical cut... although, not sure if the extended would fix the problems I had with the film but will certainly give it a rent.

Didn't catch this in the theaters, but I'll definitely give the DVD a spin.

I'd seriousily doubt he'd release the extended cut since it was NOT received well at Toronto. (of course I could be wrong).

oh and for the record - I thought this was Crowe's worst film.

Geofferson 11-29-05 09:00 AM

I too have not seen this, but am looking forward to catching it on DVD.

Am I the only person that really enjoyed this movie?

Libby 11-29-05 07:08 PM

Could have been a decent movie....without kirsten dunst. Might see it again when it comes to dvd.

No there are two of us now. I was alone in the movie talk thread. I really liked it, not as good as Almost Famous but very few films are.

rmick 11-29-05 09:03 PM

Defininitely a flawed film, and not even sneaking into a top 10 for the year, but it stirred up feelings and emotions more than any other movie I've seen this year. Definitely looking forward to revisiting Elizabethtown on DVD.

Sathlin 11-29-05 09:52 PM

I liked the movie a lot, will be getting this. even downloaded the screen saver and desktop image.. heh.

I'm still quite looking forward to this, any word on special features yet? Cameron Crowe's commentaries are always worth listening to.

The Antipodean 01-06-06 12:44 PM

No commentary? $&#@! I may wait for the inevitable double-dip then...

animatedude 01-06-06 01:08 PM

so do you guys think there will be a special edition?

Right after the Vanilla Sky SE...

animatedude 01-06-06 02:56 PM

which was never released

Link_182 01-07-06 12:52 AM

I LOVED this movie like all the Crowe movies, so I'll be buying. But I highly doubt we'll see a SE anytime soon. The film was hardly a critical hit, and wasn't a big BO hit either. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we would see a Singles SE before we would this, or even Vanilla Sky.

animatedude 02-05-06 02:04 PM

so there seems to be a BestBuy exclusive disc.

i wonder if anyone know anything about that "On the Road to Elizabethtown" documentry that's included in the bonus disc.i'll probably have to get that exclusive since i don't think we will ever get a special edition.

anyone saw "On the Road to Elizabethtown"? is it any good?

kylerayner 02-07-06 07:31 PM

So has anyone bought this from Best Buy? If so, is the bonus disc worth it?

Cool, was that just recently annouced?

I'm a big fan of Crowe's work and am VERY tempted to pick this up as a blind buy.

ReduxGuy 02-07-06 08:29 PM

Is it the same bonus disc offered when the film first came out or something new?

roger_d 02-08-06 07:40 AM

I was hopeing the cover would be of Kristen sitting on the bench. I love that pic. Great legs.
