Anybody have the "Friends" Collector's Box yet?

Just a short post to ask the above question. I just received Friends Season 10 and the offer is in the package to order it. The price is $20 - including $10 for shipping and handling. It states that it's a "Limited edition collector's box made of wood with an acrylic door". Really? Made of wood and not pressboard or some other kind of fake wood? How thick is the wood? Is it well made or is it going to fall apart after opening it 20 times (once each to take out a season set and put it back after watching that season)?

Thanks in advance for your input.

saw this when I was out picking up Seinfeld's releases (werent YOU) and looked pretty appealing, although I am not a fan of the show. Looked fairly sturdy to me, but i did not get to touch it because it was behind glass.

I did not buy this, but from picking it up and holding it, this thing is a rock! It should be sturdy enough to not break from multiple viewings. Hope this helps.

If anyone can point out where this offer is on the net (if it is) it would be appreciated. Don't think I'll be picking up season 10 anytime soon.

Its rather heavy and quite sturdy. I can't really inspect it too much because I will need to ship it back to overstock so that they can send me the matrix set I ordered.

There is no offer on the web for this. There is a coupon inside the Season 10 box set, and the original form must be mailed along with $20 ($10 for box, $10 shipping) for the box. I think I am gonna send out for this since it sounds like more than a cardboard slipcase.

It's not, there's a coupon inside of season 10 that you have to use.

They sent you Friends (a $150-$200 set) instead of Matrix. Damn that was a good deal.

I'm having a huge ordeal over this..I live in Canada and TVshowsondvd had an email address for us to write for info (we didn't get the coupon inside of our season 10)...as of yet, I've heard nothing. I've emailed twice. I'm actually pretty pissed off, besides the fact the fact that the box will apparently cost Canadians 47 bucks...

OK I have possibly a dumb question here... but I'll go ahead and ask because I don't know, and I want to know....

Does this box, have places for the individual DVDs, or is it a box, to put the Box Sets that you already have inside?

I havent opened my Season 10 yet, so I havent seen the coupon.

I saw a bunch of these box sets today at Media Play. It was funny because they had those "spider" security things around all of the sets. They were all totally mangled. Why do stores use thos things?

I ordered it from the ddd sale. I think it looks great. For 163 with the case you can't beat it. It would make a great addition to any dvd collection.

Would it be possible for anyone to post some actual pics of their collector's boxed set?

From the sound of it, this box is head and shoulders above the slip for the LotR:EE's. It is wooden and has a clear acrylic hinged door. The box is $10, shipping is $10. I think I'm gonna bite.

My friend told me the lettering on the side is eteched into the wood. This box seems pretty cool. I sent off my coupon (and $20 for it) when I bought season 10.
