I sent away for my box too.

What is another $20 in the grand scheme of things?

I would rather have the matrix set which DDD surprisingly was able to fill from their 20% off sale. But I've already told overstock and they apparently switched my order with someone else's. Supposedly, she sent the information to the warehouse where they are supposed to figure out where my matrix box is and give me a label to either ship it back. Still haven't heard anything yet though. Maybe the person who got my matrix set hasn't realized it yet.

I ordered Season 10 from DDD during the sale and they ended up sending me the entire collection in the box.

Ugh. Now I get to deal with returning crap to them and hoping I get what I wanted sometime soon.

20.00 for a box? That's a lot of green for something....you really don't need.

And to top it off, kinda girly-lookin' for a dude to own in his collection if you ask me.

And I have all ten seasons. I'd rather get a DVD for that kind of bread.

I think it looks pretty good with my Evil Dead book and some Puppet Master toys on top.

Talking about spending money on something you don't really need, why didn't you just record Friends off the tv instead of spending a lot of money on the dvd's. Wouldn't you rather get a DVD of something that isn't on tv?

What I really don´t need is someone telling me what I need and don´t need.

And whats with the "girly looking" thing now ?? So its "girly" to have all 10 seasons in a nice looking (allthough "we" dont really need it and it looks "girly") box, but its not "girly" to have all 10 seasons by them selves ?

Don´t worry...having this box wont make you look "girly" to your friends...

...and you can say "gay"...thats what I think you mean anyway. And no...Men won´t hit on you even though you have this box, so you don´t have to be affraid

I'm gay, and I hope this box makes me look even gayer just to bother people.
I want this, but have to figure out where I'm going to put it. Space is a premium for me...

Girly and gay are not the same:

Friends = Girly

Ellen = Gay

I can understand you not wanting to spend 20 dollars but your reason is ridiculous. The box if girly looking. Guess What?!? Friends is considered by most a girly show. If you already own all 10 seasons, you are already going to look girly so why not get a nice collectors box to hold them all.

I didn't mean to sound so crass before, but I saw the Box with All Ten Seasons at Borders on Sunday, and in my humble opinion, thought it looked really tacky.

Maybe I'm just against Warner Bros. charging so much for what is essentially just an empty box (ten dollars I could live with, but 20?)

I'm just trying to make a judgment call that if someone asked me if I thought it was worth it, I would say, simply no.

But that's just my opinion. I'll respect yours too.

Amazon's broken for you?
No... I just wanted to see an actual picture of this set in someone's collection. I've seen the "Amazon" picture before and it is a nice promotional image. I want to see the real thing, perhaps from a different angle and maybe with the door open. Often the real item will look different than the promo image of the item.

Bought from DDD and received last weekend. Didn't know about the cabinet when putting in the order; pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the purchase. Onto the presentation (click on thumbnails for larger version) -

Inside box:

Width measurement:

Height measurement:

Depth measurement:

Skyline "etching" on side (the "etchings" are not etched into the wood, i don't know what it's called, they're a bit raised) :

Door ajar:

Door open / side of cabinet:

Door open more:

Box sets inside cabinet:

Skyline "etching" on back (see above description)

Box sets on top of cabinet:

Box sets on top of cabinet again:

short clip of door opening and closing. The click sound is the magnet catching, metal piece is on lower right of door, magnet is inside the cabinet sidewall (not the area where the boxsets are contained but inside the wood...I think) :

(requests for different angles welcomed)

Nice images. As has been pointed out, this is more than just a slipcase for the sets, and therefore is probably worth more than other slipcase offers.

I saw the whole set for sale at Costco yesterday although no price on it. I bought each of the 10 seasons as they came out so probably spent close to $250 total. I'm more tight with my money than anybody I know on the planet but this was my alltime favorite comedy and I did plan on dying 50 years from now with more than $20 bucks in my pocket so this $20 will not me missed. I will order it and then move the movies off the bookshelf and on display above the fieplace on the mantle.

To the lucky person who ordered season ten and got the whole collection: I want my set back!!! JK

I just got my final order and instead of the complete set DDD sent me season ten. Now I'll have to wait EVEN LONGER for my Friends collection. Oh well, DDD did good enough for me to get my money again at the next sale.
