I had a chance to see this at a local theater but never got around to it. I'll check it out.

I'll be picking this up for sure.

Without deliberately intending to go OT....anyone picked up the recent Herzog releases...'Wheel Of Time', 'White Diamond' and can comment on the dvd presentation?..also, any idea of a release date for 'Wild Blue Yonder'?

I missed this one in theaters so I'll be picking it up as well.

Good film, Herzog stumbled on a gold mine

I don't blind buy many movies, but I'm going to blind buy this one. I've heard a lot about it and have been wanting to see it since it came out.

Very highly recommended. This could be the best film I saw all year - really moving but also very disturbing. The guy was clearly nutty, but his ultimate demise was still horrible. So, yeah, pick this one up!

Sweet. Never got around to seeing it in theatres but should make for a great rental.

ShagMan 11-22-05 07:36 AM

Wait, is this the film about the guy in the robo-suit w/ extreme padding that was supposedly bear-proof?

jpfisher 11-22-05 08:39 AM

^ No, that's Project Grizzly, which came out on DVD a month or two ago.

Grizzly Man is a documentary consisting mainly of found footage directed by Werner Herzog (Aguirre: The Wrath of God, Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht, Fitzcarraldo, Klaus Kinski: My Best Fiend, etc etc etc) about Timothy Treadwell who was killed by a grizzly bear in the Alaskan wilderness a few years back.

It's also the best film I've seen this year, hands down -- highly recommended.
