In Her Shoes - 1/31/05

Curtis Hanson's new film, In Her Shoes, is due out on January 31st.

Specs include:

- seperate 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen/fullscreen editions
- Dolby Digital/DTS tracks
- alternate opening title sequence
- featurettes: "The Making of 'In Her Shoes'"; "The Casting of Honey Bun"; "A Community for Acting Seniors"
- Inside Look: "John Tucker" and "Just My Luck"

Retail is 29.98.

Thanks to Patrick at Davis DVD for the news.

I can't wait. One of my surprise favorites this year with an award-worthy performance by Shirley MacLaine.

I went into the theater thinking it might be a good movie, and walked out knowing it was a great movie. Very subtle, smart, and touching film. I look forward to the DVD.

Just as I suspected.

2006 seems to be the year where great films get crappy DVD artwork:

Honestly, what a travesty.

I coudldn't agree more. Quite surprised that there wasnt a topic started about this movie in the Movie forum.
Entertainment Weekly was right, what if you made a chick flick and nobody came? This is one of those gems that slipped away.
Loved it.
