Holy cow, I thought I was the only one who watched that show...had all of the toys too. I wonder how much value it'd have these days though...
I'll probably netflix the first disc.

Definitely watched this all the time when it was on. Although, all I can remember is a guy named Fat Boss. I may have to check this out. Any special features at all would probably convince me to grab this one.

Further proof that there is no TV show that is not profitable on DVD. I remember this, specifically how bad it was. Much like the Thundercats clone SilverHawks, this show along with the Inhumanoids burned off the good will the Transformers and GI Joe TV shows and toylines built with fans. Too formulaic.
I remember when I was astounded that Robotech was getting a DVD release. LOL.

You can't possibly believe the He-Man cartoon was better than MASK. The repeted use of animated sequences the corny dialog and delivery. While I was in on all the biggies from the 80's (GI Joe, Transformers, SW, GoBots etc) MotU never ever interested me.

This is awesome news. I remember being a fan of this show but I honestly can't remember anything about it. I think I still have some of the toys put away somewhere.
There is still a lot of 80s shows I'd like to see again as an adult. Visionaries, Dino-Ryders, Captain Power, M.A.S.K, Ghostbusters, Wheeled Warriors, Go-Bots ....

Agreed! Although I almost wish they'd all go the He-Man route and release a Best Of.. since I probably wouldn't care to see a lot more, just enough to satisfy nostalgia. In the case of C.O.P.s, I have two or three episodes on VHS, so I'd like to at least be able to have them available.
More '80's!

One notable thing about the show (unless I remember incorrectly), all the character design was by Peter Chung, best known for Aeon Flux. The opening animation is pretty cool too... I haven't seen an actual episodes in ages though!

No, it's not based on the old Fox reality show! It's a cartoon set in a futuristic "Empire City" with colorful heroes and villians. Like most cartoons of the day, a toy line came out at the same time, of course. Here's a web page with some pictures:
