Jaws 25th Anniversary-vs- Jaws 30th Anniversary

Here's my dilemma do I keep the 25th for the full bitrate dts or
the 30th without a full bitrate dts but better extras

Yes I know about the full documentary on the 30th and the half bitrate dts.
I 've been stumped for weeks what to do, so any advice from all would be appreciated.

i kept both for the trailers...the reason you want the new one is the original mono track. Not the souped up, stufff added tracks....

the old dts ad DD tracks were re-recorded crap.

dvd_luver 11-08-05 01:04 PM

Keep the 25th if you are a casual fan and are happy with the quality of the dvd. If you feel strongly though, it's can't hurt to get the 30th. It beats out the 25th version, better overall dvd.

digitalfreaknyc 11-08-05 01:16 PM

The original didn't have a full bitrate DTS track.

Cameron 11-08-05 01:32 PM

and you should keep the original for the tooth count -wink-

Geofferson 11-08-05 01:42 PM

I much prefer the 30th -- for the original mono track.

Filmmaker 11-08-05 02:00 PM

You're foolish to part with either.

nightmaster 11-08-05 04:34 PM

Used DVDs don't bring the seller much money at all, and trading in not much more. I'd keep 'em both if I already had both.

Mr. Cinema 11-08-05 05:17 PM

I kept both. The 30th Anniversary comes with a nice booklet too among the stuff already mentioned.

TomOpus 11-08-05 06:31 PM

Another one who kept both.

Shannon Nutt 11-08-05 06:31 PM

I kept both as well. The first one mainly for the trailers. The second one is worth the upgrade not only for the mono track, but because the documentary is twice as long.

You're gonna need a bigger DVD shelf...

keep both

Kept both here too.

And I could DEFINITELY use some bigger shelves..

Sell them both and buy Deep Blue Sea.

Har har.

Another vote fo kept both. I am a sucker for having multi versions if something major doesn't get carried over.

digitalfreaknyc 11-09-05 08:52 AM

Sold the 25th. But still have those trailers ;)

Eeek...yes. sorry. Thanks for pointing that out.

TylerDurden_73 11-09-05 02:16 PM

Wow, thanks for all the input. I am going to keep both

eau 11-09-05 02:51 PM

I'm keeping both :D

devilshalo 11-09-05 03:10 PM

It's a no brainer for me to keep both. If they came out with another super spectacular edition, you bet I'd be buying that one too (especially if Spielberg would finally agree to do a commentary).

Al_Tahoe 11-09-05 04:36 PM

FWIW, I'm also keeping both.

Fok 11-09-05 04:47 PM

Keep both

Filmmaker 11-09-05 04:50 PM

Oh cripes, people, he already said he's keeping both. Our work is done here.

We wanna make sure he doesn't have ANY second thoughts. Plus we like to hear ourselves talk :)
