No Shame catalog 2006/2007
Kindly sent by Geoff a nicely done DVD with some extra materials (showing the No Shame offices in Italy and LA) reveals an interesting look at the upcoming No Shame titles (some already announced, some in production). I will quote the list from the promotional DVD below:
Massacre in Rome
The Desert of the Tartars
Death Walks at Midnight
Death Walks with High Heels
Colt 38 Special Squad
La Uno Bianca
St. Francis
Padre Pio
The Night thet Evelyn Came out of the Grave
The Red Queen Kills Seven Times
Un Poliziotto Scomodo
Double Game
Open Letter to the Evening News (2DVD set)
Roma Citta Libera (o, yes... )
Dark Waters (2DVD set)
Down and Dirty
La Moglie Piu' Bella
Story of a Cloistered Nun
Oggi Domani e Dopodomani
Anno Uno
Socrate
Gran Bollito
Corruzione a Palazzo di Giustizia
**
One thing that I am quite a bit unhappy with...instead of unleashing all these Euro-crime titles NoShame MUST focus on the classic Erotic films which Italy became known for at the time. With other words...where are the erotic titles????
**
Good to see all the Rossellini titles though... And finally, FINALY Ettore Scola....yes, yes, yes!!!
Ciao,

If NoShame doesn't start doing native NTSC and/or progressive transfers, I will be buying very few. Sadly, I already skipped on a number of releases this year that I would have otherwise picked up without a second thought.

It also means that I need to wait for reviews before I'll be purchasing any of their discs well into next year. I can't assume that all of the upcoming discs were mastered after they started doing it right.

I am also going to (later this year) speak with some of their marketing department and see if anything could be done about their initial releases...I can not stand Yesterday, Today, and Tmorrow and Boccacio witj all of the dreaded ghosting. The biggest let-down however was Pirtro Germi's disc...
After all of this being said though...feel no fear to order their upcoming titles...they will all be done properly.
