The 1st Annual "October [Horror] Movie Challenge" Awards Ceremony
And the winner of "The October [Horror] Movie Challenge" is...
1. steelpotato - with an astonishing 223!
The man not only had the balls to back up what he said, but he also kicked all everyone's asses in the process.
The Century Mark
2. ilikebreakdowns - 132
3. Chad - 120 (Original goal set: 100)
4. Crazee4DVDs - 119
5. gutwrencher - 112 (Original goal set: 130)
Gotta give props to gut - even though he was on track for 240 and didn't reach his goal of 130, he still hit an impressive 112 despite his plans being derailed due to a few days of hospital stay.
6. Mondo Kane - 104
7. Sweet Baby James - 100
8. mikewendt - 88 (Original goal Set: 101)
The man with some of the best odds to win it all disappoints us all and DOES NOT reach the goal someone else set for him.
Although, he did rack up quite an impressive list if you count everything watched.
9. Shack - 85
10. Dimension X - 79
11. Giles - 76 (Original goal set: 102)
Giles - you jokingly set a goal and didn't reach it, but racked up an impressive number nonetheless.

14. The Reaper - 69
15. exharrison - 67

My apologies if I left anyone off the list or got your numbers wrong. If I did leave something off, it was probably due to your list not being numbered or not being updated. Anyway, just let me know and I'll make the necessary changes.
Special thanks to Giles for providing the list of participants on the first page and Cameron for suggesting this whole thing be posted in a seperate thread. Thanks to everyone who particpated...hope you had fun...see you next year. Drive safely.

Thanks for the challenge, it was a lot of fun and I hope everyone had just as much fun as I did
Last 2 weekends I've attended 24 hour movie marathons here in NZ (that have had some juicy premieres for us) so I'm pretty movied out lol.

I enjoyed it, even though I only could do 15. 38th place for me. Sorry to say but that's about all I could do in this busy month of October. One thing though, you have me down twice, #38 and #56. Obviously I made the 38 spot.

that's a cool list...thanks for doing it Chad.
I do want to take this time and plea for a continuation.
See I have been uprooted from my living situation temporarily due to unmitigating circumstances. i live on my mom's couch right now and she only has a DVD player and no set up. i am in the middle of "Jason Goes To Hell" and have a few in the que. I want to continue my horror movie viewing for a couple weeks because of this uproot. I know it won't really count, but I would like to think (at least in my head) that it does.
Thanks for your consideration and cooperation.

How about a summer blockbuster challenge starting on, say, Memorial Day weekend? 100 movies that grossed $100 million or more (domestic) during the summer.
