wow, i know im really late to this but i havent been on this site in months. I just read this post today, and im saddened by this news. I had quite a few email exchanges with Linn, and he always answered everything thoughtfully and detailed. He really had a passion for martial arts films

RIP

So how is the Image release of Magic Blade?

I'm thinking about picking it up soon and wondering how it stacks up against the R3 release.

A/V quality? Cuts/Missing Footage? Original language tracks?

I have the Image release and it looks to be one of their better effort. Like all other Shaw Image releases, this one is not flagged for progressive scan however it does contain the original mono language track which the R3 does not.

Cuts/Missing Footage? I don't know about that.
