Damnit, I really liked the original artwork. The new cover is ok, but not as nice as the original. It won't stop me from picking this up though.

Yup, same here. I loved the original cover. The new one sucks dunkey balls in my opinion of course. Now if only Criterion would release The Exterminating Angel, The Milky Way, Tristana (available in reg. 2), and Simon of the Desert.

I actually like the new cover better. I like the image used on the original cover, but the font and the colors they used don't look right.

Might this be one of those that the slipcover is the first artwork and the inside is the second? Think Private Idaho...

Has anyone noticed how the Criterion cover for Viridiana looks similar to the poster for The Black Dahlia? Anyway, this is a great film. My favorite by Bunuel.
