SNL Celebrity Jeopardy?

What are the chances of this being released on dvd? There is more than enough content for one dvd. I know it's like 13 episodes or something.

Yeah, but the "episodes" are only like 5-7 minute sketches.

This would be a good release though, or a whole game show themed release; they could include the Japanese game show that Chris Farley was in, and "Jew, Not Jew," plus I'm sure there are plenty of others that are much older.

Novasonic 10-31-05 02:46 AM

I would pay $10 - 15 for a dvd with only a little over an hour worth of content.

caligulathegod 10-31-05 03:09 AM

I want one with the opening theme song to Jackie Rogers Jr. $100,000 Jackpot Wad. The VHS SNL Gameshow themed release cut it.

"Who's More Grizzled?" would also be a necessity that skit is amazing

Qui Gon Jim 10-31-05 09:16 AM

Wedgie fever is also quite funny.

Your mother Trebeck!

The game show where Jerry Seinfeld hosted, and the categories included, "Chicken Nuggets, what is the deal with that?" Eveyr question was, "____, what is the deal with that?" One of the best sketches of all time.

Damfino 10-31-05 10:59 AM

I'd get it too. This was one of the few sketches that made the show worth watching.

I know that in Jeopardy the answers are questions, but that doesn't mean your question shouldn't have a question mark!

Bill Needle 10-31-05 12:49 PM

I like the Jeopardy sketches, but a release of just them would feel awfully thin. It is pretty much the same 3 or 4 jokes in every sketch.

I wouldn't mind a game show compilation release though, or a commercial parody release (which is probably a given considering the "SNL Goes Commercial" special coming up). That could be very good. But don't leave off the Coneheads on Family Feud! Or Chris Farley on the Japanese game show. "Mother of Mercy, I don't speak Japanese!"

tonymontana313 10-31-05 01:03 PM

Damn, there should be a question mark in the title. I thought there was an actual release in the works.

That'd put it in the same range as the other "Best of" discs from SNL. The Chris Farley one is only 61 minutes. The longest ones top out at around 90 minutes.

I'd shell out 15 bucks for all the Celeb Jeopardy skits. A big selling point could be including the one they did on their special... I believe it was a Thanksgiving football halftime special.

Joe Molotov 10-31-05 01:16 PM

Although I have most of the Celebrity Jeopardy skits downloaded, I'd still buy a DVD collection of them. I loved that skit.

matome 10-31-05 01:53 PM

This hat...it's funny.

Rammsteinfan 10-31-05 03:02 PM

I would drop $15 for all the episodes in a heartbeat. Only funny thing out of SNL in a long time.

Novasonic 10-31-05 05:08 PM

lol, who added all those question marks. It looks silly.

cinephan 10-31-05 07:00 PM

Here's my vote if it's a compilation of several different game shows, not just Jeopardy. Someone mentioned Who's More Grizzled and the Seinfeld one, which was called Stand Up and Win. Don't forget Old French Whore and Sabra Price is Right.

DVDChris 10-31-05 07:20 PM

I would buy this in a heartbeat.
