Good Idea/Bad Idea

Good Idea: Releasing season sets!

Bad Idea: Releasing "best of" DVDs.

Wheel of morality, turn, turn, turn... tell us the lesson that we should learn...

(Yakko) - And today's lesson is... vote early, and vote often

(Dot) - How profound...

(Wakko) - Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel

(Yakko) - Wrong wheel!

You are actually quite on point! There is no reason to not release seasons.

Sweet! I can finally get rid of my VHS copies. Now all they have to do is release Tiny Toons and I'll be content.

Well, I loved the hell out of the Animaniacs as an adult! and now I'm a much bigger and slightly wiser and older adult who just wants all the episodes in the correct running order as they aired. If the seasons had an unbalanced amount each year then I'm fine with splitting them evenly into boxed sets, as long as they as keep in the proper order. Narf!

More news from TV Shows on DVD
Quick run down: The shows will each be released in volume formats with 22 half-hour episodes, in chronological order, on 4 DVD per volume. Apparently, some P&TB early episodes were comprised of shorts from Animaniacs, and those episodes will NOT appear on the P&TB set, just in their original format in the Animaniacs format. Projected release date of July 25, 2006 for the volume 1 sets and vol 2 sets before christmas.
Narf!

The superconductin' infandibula'or--learn to build it with things round the home!

Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Pinky?

Yeah, but, erm, where are we going to get a duck and rubber hose at this hour?

We've got to look for prints!
Finger Prince?
G'night, folks!

Are you wakin' me up? Are you wakin' me up?

Hey, I was even out of high school at that point and loved it. Good times, good times.

BTW, was just looking at wikipedia, and according to them, Animaniacs had 99 episodes and P&TB had 65, which would give us 5 volumes and 3 volumes respectively at 22 per volume. Of course, Animaniacs last volume would only be 11 episodes, so maybe they would throw the direct to video Wakko's Wish and theatrical short I'm Mad on there to really complete the set.

So Pinky and the Brain will be separated? I don't like that. They aired (until their own show, much later) as part of the Animaniacs package.

No, the P&TB set will be just from their own show, Animaniacs set will include the P&TB shorts

great news indeed. I am glad that Pinky & the brain won't double up...i'm getting both, and have no need for the same toons across two sets...keeps cost down, and gets me more P&TB to start with.

I think it stinks..sure it's great if you want both sets, but if you only want Pinky and the Brain it would have ben nice to have them all in one . I mean the ones that are blowing money on both sets are buying them anyways..glad for you but now I have to buy both to get complete Pinky and the Brain. Screwed again.

Hello Nurse! Awesome news! That's not a bad MSRP for this. I was nearly 40 when these were on TV and if you were a kid when you saw them last, you'll love them even more as an adult. Easily the funniest cartoons ever (sorry, Bugs). BTW volume 2 of both are tentatively set for December 6. OK, let me get back to doing what I do every night... try and take over the world!
