Mao - have you heard any news if and when Dear Wendy might come out on disc. Given the laclustre and cruel theatrical treatment it's getting from the distributor and notably Landmark theatres (here in DC it's one showing a day for a week - that's not much of a push or faith in the movie IMO).
any preliminary rumours if Cry Wolf is an unrated (R-rated) cut of the film?

Giles,
-I'm excited to see "MirrorMask", too.
-As "Dear Wendy" is a Wellspring title, it'll probably be at least 4-5 months away (I've heard great things about it, too!)
-Expect 2 versions of "Cry Wolf" from Universal.

Edit: never mind. I just saw the post in the main board about it being unrated.

Serenity, Mirrormask, The Baxter and The Island all before my Birthday, I love it! Thanks so much for this thread Mao, gives me plenty of time to get ready for the new releases I need and I don't have to go through 80,000 DVDs on Amazon that get released every week.
Since you seem to have some in the know stuff with releases, I have a question for you. Are studios planning to keep rushing these releases to combat the piracy world? I keep feeling like I'm going to see a movie in the theaters that's out within a month on DVD. I know the biggest part of the business is DVD right now, so I was just wondering where they may stop on these rushed releases, like say a month or so after theatrical release?
