The Flash announced

I'm sure more than a few people would be interested to know that "The Flash" is coming to DVD in Jan, 2006:

Booyah!

But $60 with no extras? Come on!

madgame 10-04-05 10:10 PM

Cool, I remember this series when it aired. I may not buy it, but I'd love to Netflix it sometime.

I was really excited about this coming to DVD until I watched the episode that came with Smallville Season 4. Now I think I will pass on buying them but I will certainly Netflix them too.

Oh hell yeahs!

GO DAWSONS DAD! GO!

wolverine1028 10-04-05 11:39 PM

This is one of my favorite superheroes.

But is the TV show any good? I don't remember seeing any of the episodes.

It's certainly going to look dated now and maybe a bit campy, but it was one of the better TV superhero adaptions that I've seen.

speedy1961 10-05-05 06:56 AM

Hell Yeah!!!!

LorenzoL 10-05-05 07:01 AM

Excellent news!

reverie 10-05-05 07:07 AM

Wonderful news! I'll pick it up first thing! I loved this show, and thought it was one of the best live action superhero productions. Pretty crappy about no extras though. Ah well..

mndtrp 10-05-05 07:22 AM

I remember the pilot pretty well, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I do think that this will be a renter, though.

digitalfreaknyc 10-05-05 08:24 AM

I remember the score by Danny Elfman more than anything else about this show.

cajun_junky 10-05-05 09:24 AM

I may wait for reviews to see how this has held up over time. If I don't purchase the set, I will rent it for sure!

Thanks for the info!

Bluebomber 10-05-05 10:00 AM

I've wanted this series for a long time but 60 is a bit much for no extras and only 22 episodes, hoping a deal pops up between now and then .

The Valeyard 10-05-05 03:15 PM

It might temporarily drop in price after awhile like Lois & Clark did (along with several other Warner TV titles). I love this show but man, that's a bit expensive.

majorjoe23 10-05-05 04:12 PM

It will likely be $40-$44 the first week, which isn't too bad.

Iron_Giant 10-05-05 04:22 PM

The DVD set cannot get her "Quick" enough.

I agree...this show did not hold up well. I found the episode on the Smallville set tremendously dull. Then again, I don't remember being thrilled with the show when it was on the air, either.

I for one can't wait to get this! I'm so glad WB is putting it out!

LivingINClip 10-06-05 06:20 AM

I remember lovin' this show, but here recently I had a chance to watch a couple of the episodes back to back and I will say it didn't hold up well at all.

Lokimok 10-06-05 07:52 AM

Can Sable be far behind?

Muad'Dib 10-06-05 04:07 PM

More great news! Loved this show when I was younger and I look forward to seeing it again in all it's campy glory.
